Transcendental. My S3 fix-it because I couldn't just sit there and watch our Angel give up workout putting up a fight. They've always outsmarted heaven, hell and satan, they'd better outsmart god too. Still bittersweet, but less bitter and more sweet. Rated T, 3k.
Current WIP: Rovaniemi Calling, rated M. in collaboration with @lutraslutra. Strangers to lovers human AU, written for the Winter Omens Reverse bang. Fluff, longing and banter!
And I Did. Season 3 fic. Rated E, 85k. I’m incredibly proud of how I plotted this story. It’s my apology dance to Crowley, because when I wrote my first fic I didn’t know what he would do after the final fifteen, but then I knew. It’s all my headcanon in one place, it’s my love letter to humanity, it’s me shouting over and over that we have a choice.
Only Ever Meant For Someone Else. My first human AU. Rated T, 9k. I’m really proud of the banter and the humour in this fic, and of the fact that I fitted a whole complete little romance in less than 10k. It’s a fic I would love to read, which I don’t know if it’s true for any other of my stories.
For Old Times' Sake. Human AU, rated T, 4k. Thus fiction is quite different tin tone to most of my other stories: less banter and dialogue and more bittersweet feels (with a happy ending, of course). It's very dear to my heart.
Angel! Angel! They’re At It Again. Set in a near future where our Ineffable and the world are safe and free. Rated M, 5k. I really love this little fic. I think the humour is great, if I say so myself. It’s my one fic that I wish had (and I think deserves) more love.
On A Date With Tom. Lighthearted meet-cute human AU, full of banter, chaos and bickerflirting. Rated T. 7k. I'm quite proud of the chaotic scene and the humour in this fiction! Quite a few readers told me I made them laugh and I couldn't be happier!
Deluded. Meet cute human AU. Rated M for Misunderstandings, Miscommunication and Mature. I am so very thankful and proud for how nicely this fic was received. Not sure why, since it doesn’t have a particularly elaborated plot, maybe it runs high on emotions? Some humour and some banter? Will they won’t they? Your guess is as good as mine.
The Solstice Dinner, rated E, 42k. My first enemies to lover! I loved writing the banter and the humour in this Goilmore Girls inspired human AU (not a crossover though, and you don't need to be familiar with Gilmore |Girls to enjoy this fic!). But what I loved most about this fiction was collaborating with incredibly talented artist hogs_and_ham! Even if you don't read the fic, please check out her wonderful art!
Second Chances And Second Choices. Post season 2 fic. Rated T, 25k. My headcanon has changed significantly since when I wrote this fic, mainly regarding Crowley. But it’s still my love letter to Aziraphale, and how not to be proud of the first fic you ever wrote and put out there for people to read? I’m just proud that I went and did it, really.
Just A Neighbour I Know. Neighbours, friends to lovers, idiots in love human AU. I wrote this for a friend and I packed it with humour, pining and awkward flirting. Rated T, 14k.
Play By The Rules. Human AU. Rated E, 2k. Every now and then I need to get some smut out of my system before happily going back to my fluff and humour. I feel like this attempt went better than the last one.
In Vino Ludus. Post canon set in a near, safe future. Rated E, 3k. I think it’s a sweet little fiction.
A Little Lighter, After All. Human AU, rated T, 3k. Little fic that came to be because I ran away with three words to be used as a prompt for a writing exercise. Got carried away, that's all.
Never Gonna Fall For. Friends to lovers human AU that I wrote solely because I kept imagining our Ineffables dancing to Modern Love by David Bowie and had to get that image out of my system. Among my fics, this is possibly the one where Crowley and Aziraphale's characterisation is the furthest to how I actually headcanon it, but despite that, I'm not entirely unhappy with it! Rated T, 8k.
An Angel And A Demon Go To A Halloween Party. Post canon fic, set in a near, safe future. rated E, 4k. Eh. Towards the end of this list it’s getting harder and harder to say what I like about my own fics. I guess this was my first fiction entirely revolving around the smut scene. And since I'm not a great smut writer, I think that was pretty brave of me. Does that count?

Friends, in case some of you, like me, are published authors or illustrators or creators of any kind, and you are still using any Google service (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Classroom), please consider deleting all your material from Drive and moving it to external harddisks or something similar before it turns into a catastrophic problem like mangaka Masahiro Itosugi just experienced:

I really hope this comes as no surprise to all of you and you were already taking precautions about it, but I know for a fact that 100% of my colleagues in the academic field back their papers and their books up on Drive, and that most of our institutional email addresses and some essential tools (for example Gmeet, that we are required to use for remote teaching or to record conferences) are based on Google Workspace (including crucial stuff like uni department documents, scientific journal archives, publicly funded projects contracts and so on).
Now they could be flagged for copyright infringment and lose access to their entire accounts for uploading back up copies of THEIR OWN work on Drive, because AI systems are apparently unable to recognise the legitimate owner of copyrighted material (or they have been intentionally set up to not recognise it so that tech corps can steal people's work).
The complete automation of the scraping-scanning-banning process, that Google has now delegated entirely to unchecked AI, with no human review, is coming for us quicker than I thought, and while there may be some things that I fear we can't disentangle from this mess anymore (I'm thinking of Gmail specifically), we can still pull our work from Drive before it's too late.
I'm not sure how to properly tag this, but if you know people who may need this warning, please help them understand how serious things are becoming.

The Crane Punished, or Don Frasieranni by @malachitegrey, a crossover with Frasier that is done to perfection. Absolutely hilarious and spot on characterization and even after I've read it multiple times I still giggle and squeal and kick my feet.
The Logistics of Letting Things Go by Ratberry, a post season 2 NOT fix-it that is heartfelt and healing, about Crowley grieving and moving on after Aziraphale goes back to Heaven.

The Measure of a Man (in Square Meters) (T) by @bohoteacher: Lovely human AU with an outsider POV. Mr Brown has problems connecting with people and feels lonely because of it and asks Aziraphale to help. I'm not ashamed to admit that this story has made me cry a few times. Brown's experiences hit hard.
A Quiet Life (M) by hakunahistata and Lenaellsi: An A Quiet Place, human AU, so only read if you don't mind the scary, bloody bits. Just the first chapter alone is already pure gold. Visceral descriptions, even before the horror begins. Beautiful.
The Magician's Assistants (E) by @angie-words: A very different kind of doppelbanging fic, or at least I've never read one like this before. Two Crowleys – one consciousness. You'd think it would be confusing, but it actually isn't. And why does this happen? Fell the Marvellous and this one line that is absolute perfection: "Patience was a virtue, so of course Crowley refused to employ it." 😁
In the Margins by @thisisshiny (T): The entire series is great – I mean, I assume, because I'm not all the way through yet (things keep getting in the way, you know how it is). Human AU, Aziraphale and Crowley meet and fall in love arguing about books by writing in their margins. It's beautiful and funny, and I loved guessing along which book the clues left would lead to. I didn't get all of them right – would have been weird if I'd managed that, because I'm one of the slowest readers out there with a terrible memory to boot – but that didn't reduce the fun of it.
The Third Prince by @anatomic-girl (M): Another one I'm not all the way through yet, but I'm so slow and keep getting distracted by other things. It's funny in parts and sweet and beautifully written and a really great story that explains what happens after S2 (that I personally liked a whole lot better than S3). Plus, it comes with amazing art by @ruby-gold.
On A Date With Tom by @di-42 (T): An incredibly charming human AU during which Aziraphale and Crowley meet when Aziraphale is meeting someone for a blind date and mistakes Crowley for the guy he's supposed to meet. They have instant chemistry, and Crowley then goes on to more or less accidentally wreck Aziraphale's actual date (Aziraphale kind of helps, and it's a much better match, of course). It's funny and cute, and I loved the banter.
These are just a few titles I randomly pulled from my bookmarks and reading log. There are so many more amazing stories out there! And I appreciate every single one written. Whether they have lots of views or few. No matter if I love every second I spent reading them or if they are ultimately not for me. They will be an amazing story for someone and every word written, every line drawn, every word spoken and note played and what have you keep this fandom alive that I love at least as much as GO. 💜

I can think of many writers whose fictions deserve much more love!
First off is @addledmongoose . Her S3 fic The Beginning Of The End (Again) is still one of my all time favourites, the characterisation and the humour are just perfect and the plot is great. Rated M, 78k. I also loved her marvelous canon divergent fic, My Heart Was Always Yours (rated M. 143k), and her reverse omens fic, That Isn't Supposed to Happen (rated T, 127k). Currently reading the sequel to TBOTE(A), The Devil's In The Details (rated T, 165k) and it's as great as the other stories!
Another criminally underrated author is Savyl, whose humour is simply magnificent! A few of her stories I love: Well Earned Rewards (rated M, 2k) pre S3-post canon sweetness, fluff and humour. Keep Reading (rated E, 1.8k) very hot, but also very tender pre S3-post canon fic featuring (semi) public sex. Crowley Has A Volvo (rated M, 2k). Crack fiction if I ever saw one! Honestly. Hilarious. Thoughts From The Other Head (rated E, but no smut, 1.7k). Absolutely hilarious fic told by the POV of Crowley and Aziraphale's cocks. Lap Of Luxury (rated T, 4k) beautiful and, as usual, incredibly funny in-universe fic that I was lucky enough to be gifted. Fashionably Late (rated M, 3k) another fantastic pre S3-post canon, established relationship fiction, full of all the good stuff!
Another incredibly underappreciated fic by twshowsufferer, Crowleech: Love At First Latch (rated E, 9k). Do NOT let the tag or the summary put you off. Just please trust me! This is a beautiful, touching and incredibly hot fantasy AU.
Last but not least, The Lunch Thief (rated E, 6k) by 3obby. Lovely and funny human AU.

How much does shipping cost?
For US residents, bundles will cost a flat fee of $13. They will ship via media mail through USPS.
For anyone outside of the US, shipping has been estimated through the cheapest carrier, most likely MEEST or EMS Parcel Post. Unfortunately, I cannot control the cost of shipping, and I know that it is extraordinarily high. The bundles will weigh anywhere between 4-6+ lbs, which is expensive to ship.
Wait, I'm from the US. Why am I paying more for Media Mail?
While Media Mail typically would cost $8-9, the increased price is to offset international orders, whose shipping will cost anywhere from $45-70 with the discount. I hope you understand. I want to make this as accessible as I can without personally eating any costs. I am not making any profit off of this project.
When do orders ship?
Once pre-orders close on 6/30, I will order the books. There is typically a 2-4 week turn around for them to be printed and delivered to me. I then have to package and ship everything from my house. I will also be out of town in August for 10 days to attend TIC7, but I hope to have all orders shipped by September 1st.
US mail should take 2-8 days. International orders can take anywhere from 2-4 weeks, so please be patient.
What percent of proceeds are going to RAINN?
100%! This excludes the cost of printing and shipping. For reference, the first print run cost $1,254 for the books alone, not including shipping and packaging supplies. Anything remaining goes directly to charity. I am not keeping any costs for labor or making any profit on this.
Shipping will take 6-8 weeks after preorders close on 6/30. I will need to submit the order and wait for it to be delivered to my house before preparing shipping. Depending on the quantity of orders, it will take me a while to ship everything out!

I was going to pick my favorite Pride-related stories for this month, then I decided you are going to have no trouble finding those stories. I might even offer a few of my own.
The travelers in these tales are restless. They don’t know how to settle down, nor do they think they want to. They haven’t stopped moving for some time. Then they meet someone who makes them reconsider.
Coming up with themes and ways stories are connected isn’t always easy or obvious. But somehow, these three stories fell together immediately.

Summary: Restless traveler, Aziraphale Fell, meets settled-down Anthony Crowley in middle-of-nowhere, Texas. Aziraphale goes through life flitting from place to place, never staying long. He runs on the belief that if he’s not going, he’s missing out on something better. Crowley’s life is stationary. He keeps himself rooted with the belief that his life is the best it’s ever going to get, and to go would be to risk that. Aziraphale has to go. Crowley has to stay. They have to take what they can get from each other, and that needs to be enough.
My Take: I’ve read this story at least three times now. Each time I get a little more from it. The central question here is, what do you do when you are terribly in love and yet that isn’t enough to make you change who you believe you are at your core? Can one person ever be enough to make you give up everything else? Should they be? It’s something a lot of us have struggled with. It’s very well done, heartbreaking, and the ending makes more sense than you might expect.

After a magical week spent falling in love, they face a hard reality. Will they be able to make the choices they need to make to build a real life together?
My Take: I’ve read this one several times, too. Imagine my delight when I finally realized the author was my friend Thingy! It takes me a while sometimes. (Those of you who remember my story about my bday fic written by @brenna will understand.)
This story has so many great tropes: strangers to friends to lovers, long-distance relationship struggles, commitment issues, secrets, misunderstandings, jealousy. And of course my BIG requirement: a happy ending.
Here, the problem is Crowley can’t seem to stop moving, to settle into a relationship, to commit—even though it appears he wants to. It takes a while to find out why. When you do, be ready for a bit of heartbreak before the guaranteed happy ending.

My Take: This is the femme Good Omens human AU you never knew you needed. Hell, until I beta’d it, I didn’t even know I needed it. But I did, and so do you.
CuriousPupsicle knows her boats (she lived aboard for years; don’t ask me about it, I’m not the expert) and makes you feel as if you are there when you read any of her sailing stories. This isn’t an adventure story like Anchored (also an excellent story, but much different). This is a lazy, slow, will-they-or-won’t-they summer romance, perfect for reading right about now. Other GO characters pop up (Tracy and Shadwell as long-time sailing friends, Gabriel as, well, Gabriel) and the whole thing feels like a comfort read the first time you read it.
Okay, that's it for June. We'll be well into summer by the time I write my next set of fic recs. Maybe something about vacations? Or maybe something on the water? We'll see what floats my boat. (See what I did there? Yeah?)
I'm cross-posting this to my main blog for those who might be seeing this twice. Just so you know.
The results are here, whether you voted or not, it’s too late now (it's always too late).
Let’s analyze these numbers (I’ll try to be as objective as possible). There’s almost 1600 votes for the poll about the film as a whole and more than 1000 for the ending of the film, so there’s a wide sample of people in both polls. As a whole, we can say that these numbers are not good news for amazon & co.

A staggering 50% of the voters didn’t like or even hated the finale as a whole, with quite a lot more hate (28,1%) than dislike (21,9%) (we are a passionate fandom).
Almost a quarter (23%) of the fans are not sure yet what to think about it.
And, obviously (this is maths after all), the other quarter (25,9%) has positive reviews. Almost 1 out of 5 people liked it (19,6%) while only a few really loved it as a whole (6,3%).
Now, if we see the results for the ending of the finale, the numbers change a bit (thanks to @fellshish for the addition of this poll, which is quite interesting).
Almost the same number of people who loved the film as a whole also loved its ending (6.9%). However there’s a big dip in people liking the ending (11,7%), which brings us to 18,6% of people having positive feelings about the ending of the finale. That’s 7,4% less people having positive feelings towards the ending than the film as a whole, and most of that descent comes out of the ones liking it, rather than the ones loving the film (who are almost the same number in both polls).
About the voters with negative feelings towards the ending, we can see there’s an overwhelming 57,5%, with most of them hating that ending (43,4%) (what’s not to hate? Sorry, objectivity!) and just 14,1% who disliked it. Again, we are passionate people in this fandom.
Finally there’s almost the same number of people in both polls who haven’t reached a decision over the ending yet (23,9%).
It’s very interesting that more than 7% of voters are positive towards the film as a whole but hate the ending (there is much more hate than dislike in the ending poll). There’s many people too who dislike the film but hate the ending.
Finally, the addition of @thebright1 had a little over 400 votes. Most of the voters (53,2%) found sense in s2e6 final 15 before season 3 aired. About 2 out of 5 voters (43%) haven’t understand the meaning yet, and an astonishing 3,9% have found its meaning after watching go3 (I’m astonished because s3 didn’t deal with any of the issues the F15 brought up, imho)
In conclusion we can say that only a quarter of voters are happy with the finale, and that is even less for the ending, with just 7,4% of voters who liked or loved it. That said, we could argue that the film is disliked in general and its ending in particular is hated by most of the people who voted on this poll.
All in all, we could say the fandom is divided, yes, but we are not so far away and the edges of the division are a bit blurry.

I read a fic a while ago and really liked it but have failed to find it again since. its a shorter one shot where crowley takes a long nap and wakes up to find aziraphale has been reading in his bed while he slept. aziraphale explains that at first he was coming over to check on him, then started bringing books and making himself comfortable. the part i really liked was that while his essence was gone, crowleys corporation kept trying to reach out and hold aziraphale because of his residual feelings or something. do you maybe know which fic this was? 2. Hi, ty for the help y'all give us. <3 I'm hoping you can help me find a fic I've lost! It's set mainly in the bookshop, and the main thing I remember about it is hipstery customers coming in to look at the books and post the shop on Instagram. They start paying attention to Crowley and have a hashtag for him that's something like "hardcover trade" as a play on "rough trade" 💀💀💀 and they all think Aziraphale is paying him for his attention lol. Crowley eventually figures out what's going on with that and he and Aziraphale have sex about it. It's been living in my head forever and won't come up in my searches, I hope someone can help me lol - @trashcat-waifu

I want to give a very special recommendation: upon me writing this, it‘s been one day since I first watched The Final along with my sibling. They were the one to get me into Good Omens in the first place back in 2023. It was something we bonded over and has brought us a lot of shared joy over the years. Watching its ending together has therefore been very bittersweet and emotional, in more ways than one.

The ending of Good omens made me feel empty. I hate the “it all never happened” trope and the human AU in the end did little to uplift me. I liked a lot of it and while a lot was certainly cut out I think it could have been fulfilling if not for this trope. So I tried to make it a little better…
Not really a fix it, more than a HISHE in my eyes. I just don’t feel whole with that ending…
anna_sun/Clo (she/her) is a prolific writer for the Good Omens fandom, having more than 40 works posted (and more to come). She started writing at an early age, but after a short break, the creativity was retriggered courtesy of two ethereal beings who graced our screens and never let go of Clo’s heart. Keep reading to learn more about what inspires all of Clo’s charming creations.
Clo shares a little bit about her life outside of Good Omens - plus she gives us some insight to her online handle (for those who may be curious):
“Hello hello hello! My name’s Chloé (or Clo) and I was born and raised in Québec, Canada, which is where I still reside. I’m currently renting a house with my best friend on the south shore of Montréal. But if my name's Chloé, why "anna_sun"? Well, Anna Sun by Walk the Moon was my favorite song at the time I made my AO3 account (in 2014. Yes, I was fifteen. No, we won’t talk about that). But “Anna Sun” is a favorite in my playlist to this day.
I work at a college library (not a librarian, just plain admin support, lol) and I really love it. I’m not sure what I want to do career-wise, but I might get my Master’s in English Lit or Information Science in the near future. TBD.
My hobbies and interests have been closely related to fandom ever since I was a teen. AKA, a whole lot of reading and writing and shipping. Other than that, I mean… I taught myself how to ride a skateboard a few years ago, had a fall, twisted my ankle, and never picked up a skateboard again. That pretty much sums up who I am as a person. I’m not very athletic or adventurous or anything, but I do love a nice hike or a short camping trip (emphasis on short, LOL).”
Glad you are OK after the fall! 😌 But super happy about all the fandom focus! 🥳 Which brings us to the next question - how exactly did Clo find out about our beloved ineffables?
“I think Prime just suggested it on my home page??? It’s all a bit of a blur. I was looking for something to watch and thought “huh, this looks like fun.” And INDEED, it was! I never even knew it existed before. It opened up a WHOLE new world. Even got me to start watching Doctor Who right after, because of course I immediately needed more DT in my life.
S2 had been out for a while already when I started watching, but I had no clue about the Final Fifteen. And I wrote my first fic for GO before I even finished my first watch, LOL. Can you imagine my fucking delight (and simultaneous heartbreak) when I realized they were PROPER canon? Ahhhhhhhhh!!
AND finding GO got me out of my 8-year hiatus. I hadn’t written a (creative) thing in forever. I’m very grateful for it.”
It is incredible how Good Omens (and of course, Mr. Tennant) brought the spark of creativity to many of its fans!! And Clo had a few other influences that fueled her imagination 😋:
“Honestly, probably hormones LMAO, but also mainly “for shits and giggles.” I was writing stories long before I started posting them online, just for me and some of my closest friends.
It wasn’t always smut but I’ve been reading smut for a looooong time, so I eventually moved on to writing my own stuff. Write the smut you want to see in the world. You get it, wink wink. (For instance, I have one B99 fic where I literally say in my Author’s Note: “I read all of the porn in the Jake/Amy tag and I wanted more so I decided to write some lmao.”)
But I’ve also written a few poetic-ish pieces I’m very proud of. I swear I’m not JUST a horndog. And, no matter what, there will ALWAYS be fluff. ALWAYS.”
Fluff is the stuff of life (and smut - we need that too 😏😂) On that note, Clo describes a few of her favorite writing tropes that she weaves into her stories:
“Porn with Feelings is an obvious one. Mostly it’s because I like to write about intimacy. I think there’s a huge difference between a kink fic just for the sake of kink, and a smut fic that dives deep into the characters’ thoughts/feelings. Both types serve their purpose, of course, but the latter is truly my personal favorite. Some of the best smut I’ve ever read has made me CRY because it was so beautifully intimate, and I love that.
I like humor, especially a slightly ridiculous premise that lends itself to a fun time for both me and my readers.
Not exactly Love at First Sight but I do LOVE a good fast pace, dizzying romance, especially for Human AUs. Getting Together fics that end with the blooming stage of the characters’ love story.
As for big, overarching themes? Self love and self worth. Getting over insecurities. Honesty and communication. You won’t find a lot of misunderstandings causing conflicts in my work—everything always gets resolved pretty quickly.”

Aziraphale is a pretty forest nymph. Crowley is a hunter who catches him bathing. Basically Strangers to Friends to Lovers.
This will always be the one that stands out for me. It’s not my most popular, and it wasn’t even beta’ed so it would probably benefit from some editing, but it was a real labor of love. Maybe that’s why it’s my favorite. I had such a clear vision of how I wanted the story to FEEL, and I’m very happy with the result. It’s beautiful, it’s emotional, it’s hot. It’s got it all.”

When I include other pairings in my works, they are background more than anything. I do have a soft spot for Muriel/Eric but I don’t think I’d ever write it.”
Muriel and Eric are too adorable!! 🥰 And we’re sure you would do fine if you ever decide to write for them!! But of course, many of us do LOVE our Ineffable Duo. One of our followers wanted to understand more about Clo’s writing of their characters:
✨✨Across the range of your own fics, what do you feel are the core qualities to your Crowleys and Aziraphales that ensures them of feeling in-character in your works?
“That’s such a great question!!
Aziraphale is always a bit of a bastard, because that’s how I know and love him to be. He keeps Crowley on his toes. He often has underlying insecurities, but I like him to be overall confident. He’s witty, a bit smug, but ultimately, he’s soft and kindhearted.
My Crowley is… often flustered, and always smitten with Aziraphale. I love him when he’s grumpy in a likeable way, but also when he’s a shameless flirt. He’s the type to make a crass joke and bark a laugh, but also the type to say something incredibly fucking sweet out of the nowhere. He’s a cuddler. He’s a menace. And he’s hilarious.
But, honestly, it’s not always about who they are individually for me, but mainly about their dynamic. That’s what makes them recognizable. Their back-and-forth, their longing, their love.”
We LOVE how much love they have for each other!!! And Clo is not running short on ideas for them anytime soon. We asked her if she had any more works in progress…
“ooooooooooo boi, yes!
I mean, I’m not the type to juggle multiple WIPs. I used to write, post, write, post… because all I wrote were one shots. It’s when I started writing longer works, with chapters, that the WIPs really started to add up.
I currently have 3 big WIPs. One’s an angsty longfic (very unusual for me, and will take forever to write), one’s a Childhood Friends to Lovers story, and the last one is an AU heavily inspired by Ella Enchanted.”

“My, my.” Aziraphale licked his lips, savouring the sight of Crowley’s blush darkening the highest points of his cheeks. The blush could have meant a few different things, but the evening had been so pleasant so far, so filled with good conversation and laughter, the energy between them so magnetic, that Aziraphale felt bolder than usual. “I didn’t think the prince could be so easily flustered.”

“Flustered? Me? M’not flustered.” Crowley said, only stuttering a little. “I’m just…”
“Distracted. Right.” Aziraphale giggled, shaking his head in amusement. “And tired as well, I suppose?”
“Yep. Bit drunk, too. So that explains that, doesn’t it?”
“Mmh. Of course.”
How strangely entertaining, to blatantly lie to one another and pretend to accept these lies as truths. How bizarrely exciting, to flirt between the lines of what is being said, knowing that what mattered weren’t the words themselves but the way they were said. Crowley asserting that he was not flustered was the last thing he should’ve said if he wanted Aziraphale to believe him. And Aziraphale saying of course with a proud, cheeky smile was the best way to react if he wanted to make sure Crowley knew he did not, in fact, believe him.
“Right, well, s’pr’bly time for bed, huh?” Crowley grumbled after a while of silence, wobbly on his legs when he stood up. It made Aziraphale jump up to help him find his balance, holding him by the shoulders in a steadying grip. He tried not to let his thumb wander with a mind of his own, he really did—he tried hard not to seek the soft skin visible above Crowley’s collarbone—but before he knew it he was making contact, and his heart promptly skipped a few beats.
The earth might also have stopped spinning, or maybe time itself came to a halt—as if the entire universe was holding its breath, waiting to see what was going to happen now.
But nothing happened. Nothing except for shy smiles, panicked blinking, and a few stifled, measured breaths.”
*swoon* This sounds sooo good!! 😍 With all these stories that Clo shares, are there any other hidden talents that she gives back to the fandom?
“Nope, I’m a certified one trick pony. I do get ideas for fanvids sometimes but never bother trying to execute them. They just play randomly in my head when I’m listening to music.”
It’s so very true as many (or all) of us know - EVERY SONG we hear now is about them!!!! That’s all a part of becoming ineffably obsessed! But as much as we hyperfixate on GO, inquiring minds are curious if there are other fandoms that Clo might be interested in:
“At the moment? Not really. I’m fully focused on GO.
But the last fandom I was REALLY into was Black Sails. I can’t recommend that show enough. It doesn’t have the whimsical aspects of GO, but as far as queer love stories go, it takes the cake for me (and yes, CANON queer characterS, PLURAL). 4 seasons of great writing and many, many, many characters to root for. Good balance of plot elements, of twists, of romance, and of character growth. It’s so good! In fact I’m thinking of rewatching it soon.”
Black Sails is right up any pirate-lovers street!!
As we wrap up this lovely interview with Clo, she leaves us with some phenomenal and helpful words for all those who might give in to the temptation and have a go at writing their own tales🤗 :
“The obvious: Keep writing. And write the things you want to read. Do it for FUN. It’s hard not to care about stats but it’s useless to focus on them. If you’re not having fun, what’s the point?
For aspiring authors: Start small. Come up with a simple premise, one setting, one scene. A conversation, a confession, a first kiss, whatever. Find the details you want to focus on as you imagine the scene unfolding. Make it neat. And don’t forget to be proud of it.
I also think fanfics are such a great starting point for authors. The characters are there, the dynamic is established. You can easily pick a scene from canon and build on it. I wrote my first GO fic immediately after watching that “shades of grey” conversation in S2. I had ideas for how the scene could’ve gone and they simply demanded to be written!
Finally, for anyone: Be open to finding inspiration anywhere. My ideas usually come to me in the form of a single line of dialogue, or a random line of prose. “No Food in the Library” is literally a poster on the wall where I work. I started writing “A Time and a Place” with a single thought in mind: Crowley wanks in the back office of the bookshop because he’s sexually frustrated… and everything else flowed from there. “Experiments in Kissing” was inspired by my own experiences, and mostly because I thought: Wouldn’t it be fun for them to start making out whenever they’re bored, just because? These three fics are some of my favorite fics I’ve ever written. They did not require ten hours of brainstorming and outlining. I was just having pure, honest fun.”

Oh. It was Crowley. Crowley was the target of Aziraphale’s magical infatuation. Aziraphale wanted Crowley’s help ridding him of this newfound affection for Crowley.
And Crowley, who somehow needed to be the level-headed one in this situation, was utterly fucked.
