The Diamond Nightingale Song Contest is Europe's second-largest song competition and closely resembles Eurovision. You and your closest friend have just emerged as winners of the Glass Dolphin, Romania's national selection event. Romania boasts the most wins in the contest, claiming victory in 1999, 2005, 2009, and 2015. You and your friend also competed in the Diamond Chick, the junior version of the contest, in 2010 and 2011, respectively.

As you prepare for the Diamond Nightingale, you and your best friend are filled with excitement and nerves. This is your chance to show the world your talent. But the competition will be fierce, with singers from all across Europe competing for the title. You'll need to bring your A-game and stand out from the crowd with a good song, memorable performance, and stunning stage presence. With the pressure mounting and the stakes higher than ever, can you and your best friend rise to the occasion and become the next Diamond Nightingale winners? Or become Romania’s first Non-Qualifiers?

How will the two of you perform in the semi-final? Will you pass and reach the grand final? Will you be the 11th place, the fan-favorite that didn’t manage to qualify? Or will you crash and burn with the high expectations placed on the two of you?

The game offers four romantic options: the charming runner-up from the 2015 edition, the last-place finisher in 2019, your longtime friend, and a journalist covering the contest. Depending on the player's choice, the runner-up can be either João Silva or Joana, who represented Portugal at the young age of 17 and is known for being outgoing, charming, and a bit of a flirt. The last-place finisher in the 2019 Grand Final is Lodewijk De Vries, a former winner of the Diamond Chick in 2010 and a reserved but ambitious and honest person. Only a male MC can romance him. Your friend can be either Sabin Scarlat or Sabina Scarlat, and the two of you have been friends since you met in the 2010 national selection. They are shy, passionate, and critical of themselves, with a deep passion for art. Finally, the journalist is Ilona Mäkinen, a Finnish fan and reporter for the Egg Hunt, the biggest fan news site for the contest. She is known for her curiosity, intelligence, stubbornness, and dry sense of humor. Only female MCs can romance her.              

I've had this idea for a while, and I've been planning to make this game for a while. I'm excited to share this idea with you all, and I plan to start writing the demo shortly after the Eurovision Grand Final. During this period, I will be working on the outline for the game. I hope you all like the idea! I’ll answer any questions you guys have about the IF, Romance options and other things related to the game, like the history of the contest.

Sabin or Sabina Scarlat are a romance option in Diamond Nightingale-If. They come from the town of Sinaia in Romania, and are currently 26. They made their debut at 13 in the Romanian National Selection for the Diamond Chick, they were the runner-ups, MC was the winner. The next year after that in 2011 they represented Romania in that edition of the Diamond Chick. They have been friends with MC ever since they have met each other in the national selection in 2010. Prior to joining forces with MC to form their duo, Sabin/Sabina had a moderately successful music career, having released two albums.

Sabin and Sabina are deeply introverted individuals, who are most comfortable in the quietness of their own company. They can be quite reserved, particularly around people they don't know, but once they open up, they can be warm, kind, and engaging. They are both incredibly passionate about their art, and they are known for being their own harshest critics, striving constantly for perfection. Their dedication and enthusiasm for their craft are infectious, and they inspire those around them to work harder and do better. However, they also struggle with criticism and are prone to taking it too personally, which can lead to self-doubt and anxiety. They also have a tendency to procrastinate, which they recognize as a flaw but find it challenging to overcome. Nonetheless, their passion and dedication to their art continue to drive them forward, and they are always looking for ways to improve and grow as artists.

Sabin has short, straight chestnut hair that falls neatly on his head and frames his face. His hair has a rich, warm color that complements his pale skin tone. He sports long stubble that gives him a rugged and slightly unkempt appearance. His brown eyes are warm and inviting, often revealing his emotions and thoughts. They have a slight twinkle in them when he is excited or passionate about something. Sabin is of average height, with a lean and athletic build. His features are sharp and defined, with a strong jawline and chiseled cheekbones. His nose is straight and slightly pointed, adding to his attractive and distinctive appearance. He has the same style as MC, except he uses a lot of mutated greens, teals and blues, especially blue-grey.

Sabina has short, wavy hair that falls just above her shoulders in a bob. Her hair is a warm chestnut color, with a few subtle highlights that add dimension and depth to her locks. She wears it in a stylish side braid, with a few loose strands framing her face. The braid accentuates the soft curves of her jawline and highlights her delicate features. Sabina's eyes are a warm brown that shine with intelligence and warmth. Her nose is small and slightly upturned, adding to her youthful and playful appearance. She has a slim build and stands at an average height. She has the same style as MC, except she uses a lot of mutated greens, teals and blues, especially blue-grey.

A lot of things about them are closely related to MC, like their genre, aesthetic. They can be romanced by MCs of all genders. Depending on your choices, you can remain friends, become romantic partners with either the option to develop feelings for them during the contest, or you could have had a crush on them for some time.

João Silva or Joana Silva is a romance option in Diamond Nightingale-If. They come from the city of Lagos, located in the southern region of Portugal, and are currently 25 years old. They made their debut in the contest as runner-ups in the 2015 edition, which was held in Thessaloniki, Greece, when they were only 17 years old. Despite being underestimated by many, they managed to surprise everyone and earn Portugal their best result ever in the competition. To this day, they remain a fan favorite, thanks to their remarkable performances and unique style. On stage, they go by the name of Apolino. They were also the first Portuguese representative from the southern parts of Portugal, most Portuguese representatives from Lisbon, Porto, Coimbra, Braga or other parts of northern and central Portugal.

João and Joana are two very extroverted individuals who love to be the life of the party. They possess an infectious charm that can win over almost anyone they meet. They are very outgoing and are always up for a good time, making them a joy to be around. However, they do have a tendency to be a bit of a flirt, which can sometimes be misconstrued. They are not afraid to take risks, and as such, can be quite the party animals. They enjoy being in social settings and thrive on the energy that comes with it. They are not easily intimidated and are always willing to try new things, even if it means stepping outside their comfort zone. However, they can sometimes be easily distracted, which can lead to them losing focus on their goals. Overall, João and Joana's outgoing and charismatic personalities make them a delight to be around, but they also need to be mindful of staying focused and not letting their love for socializing get in the way of their responsibilities.

João has a tall stature and tanned complexion. His dark brown hair is short and wavy and falls in disarray across his forehead, he also has some light stubble on his face, accentuating his rugged and charming appearance. His eyes are a rich brown, and they are bright and expressive, revealing his playful and adventurous nature. With a chiseled jawline and sharp features, João has a handsome and alluring face that is sure to catch the attention of many. His build is lean and athletic. He carries himself with an air of confidence, and his easy smile and relaxed demeanor make him approachable and likable. He likes to dress in light colors like pastel blue, yellows, whites, reds, and oranges. Loose fitting shirts with different patterns and prints are a staple in his wardrobe. He pairs them with comfortable and stylish loose fitting t-shirts. João prefers clothes that allow him to move around freely and express his personality. He also loves wearing accessories like bracelets and necklaces, which add a touch of uniqueness to his outfits.

Joana has a similar tall stature and tanned complexion to João. Her dark brown hair is styled into multiple braids that fall down her back. Her eyes are the same rich brown color as João's and share the same bright and expressive nature, revealing her outgoing and charming personality. Her features are sharp and chiseled, giving her a striking and attractive appearance. Joana has a lean and athletic build, which gives her a confident and graceful posture. She shares the same Bohemian aesthetic as João, preferring light colors like pastel blue, yellows, whites, reds, and oranges in her wardrobe. She likes to wear maxi dresses, skirts, and caftans made from lightweight fabrics such as cotton or linen. She also likes to wear wide-legged pants, palazzo pants, and harem pants that allow her to move around freely. She pairs these with loose-fitting blouses or crop tops. Joana also loves layering, so she often wears vests, kimonos, or oversized cardigans over her outfits. When it comes to footwear, Joana prefers flat sandals or boots, often with intricate beading or embroidery. João and Joana, just like Ilona, have never met MC before the contest. Their first encounter will take place at the Glass Dolphin, where they will serve as one of the interval acts between the contestants. They will also participate in almost all the pre-parties and will be one of the interval acts during the grand final. Depending on your choices, they can either be portrayed as male or female, and you can develop a friendly, negative, or even romantic relationship with them. They are open to being romanced by any MC. Their musical style is a blend of contemporary Portuguese and Latin music with influences from Cabaret/Burlesque. Their music is inspired by Mimicat, and her song "Ai Coração" from this year's Eurovision. Their song from 2015 is named “Luz solar”.

Ilona Mäkinen, a 25-year-old journalist from Tampere, Finland, is one of the romance options in Diamond Nightingale-If. Fluent in both Finnish and Swedish, she studied journalism in Sweden due to her Swedish heritage. After graduation, she worked for a local newspaper in Tampere, but found it unfulfilling. Her love for the Diamond Nightingale Contest started in 2011 when it was held in Seville, and she became a fan attending the 2018 edition held in Gothenburg. Inspired by her experience, she started writing about the contest on her personal blog. Her talent was noticed by the Egg Hunt, the biggest news site covering the Diamond Nightingale Contest, and she joined their team in 2021.

Ilona is a passionate and curious person, always eager to learn new things and explore different perspectives. She is an extroverted person, she is quite a social butterfly, having no trouble to communicate with others, but she also enjoys some time for herself. Her dry sense of humor is often used to lighten the mood in tense situations. She is also quite intelligent and has a keen eye for detail. However, her stubborn nature can sometimes get in the way of her relationships, as she is not easily swayed from her opinions. Her strong-willed personality can also lead her to be argumentative and confrontational when she feels strongly about something. Additionally, her passion for her work can lead her to neglect her personal life and relationships at times.

Ilona is of average height with a striking appearance. Her straight black hair is her trademark, and she often keeps it tied in a neat ponytail that falls up to her neck. Her pale skin is complemented by some freckles here and there, adding a touch of playfulness to her serious demeanor. Her eyes, with their almond shape, are one of her most captivating features. They are a deep shade of brown that could be described as almost black, and they sparkle with intelligence and curiosity. When she gazes at you, you feel like she is examining your soul with her penetrating gaze. She often wears delicate floral dresses and skirts with soft pastel colors and vintage patterns. She pairs them with comfortable and practical boots or sandals, and sometimes adds a pair of woolen socks to complete her cozy look. She also loves to layer her outfits with cardigans, shawls, and knitwear, especially during the colder months. . She loves to incorporate elements of nostalgia and rustic charm, making her look effortlessly charming.

Ilona and MC have yet to meet each other, in contrast to Lodewijk. Their first encounter is scheduled after the national selection, as Ilona is one of the foreign journalists who will interview MC and their friend. However, they will cross paths several times before the start of the contest, with Ilona being the only journalist present at all pre-parties. Additionally, she is set to attend the semi-finals and grand final. Players can decide to develop a friendship, maintain a professional relationship, or even pursue a romantic relationship if they play as a female MC. Notably, unlike the other romance options, Ilona isn't a great singer, and she hasn't been in a serious relationship before.

Lodewijk is one of the romance options in Diamond Nightingale-If. He hails from the city of Sint-Niklaas in Belgium and is 24 years old, with Dutch as his native language. His career had taken off when he won the 2010 Diamond Chick edition at the age of 10, but since then it has stalled. Although he won the Belgian national selection, the Amethyst Sparrow, he was the last-placer with only 16 points in the grand final of the 2019 edition held in Aalborg, Denmark. His reputation with the Belgian public after that is practically non-existent.

Lodewijk is an introverted individual who cherishes his alone time and feels most comfortable in quiet environments rather than social ones. He is ambitious and driven to succeed, which can be both a positive and a negative trait. He strives to overcome obstacles and achieve his goals, but he is also sensitive to failure and can be hard on himself when things don't go as planned. Honesty is one of Lodewijk's core values, and he doesn't shy away from speaking the truth, even when it may be difficult. This may sometimes come across as rudeness, but he never intends to offend anyone. While he doesn't openly express his own emotions, he is always there for others who need someone to lean on. He is a trustworthy and non-judgmental confidant who offers a shoulder to cry on or a listening ear for those who are upset or angry.

Lodewijk stands at an average height with a lean build, giving him an athletic appearance. His curly dirty blond hair is neatly styled and frames his face, with a few strands falling over his forehead. His sharp jawline and defined cheekbones give him a chiseled look, which is softened by the friendly curve of his lips. His most striking feature, however, is his piercing gray eyes that seem to change with his moods - sometimes appearing cold and steely, other times soft and inviting. He favors tailored clothing that fits him perfectly. He often wears button-down shirts with dress pants or jeans, topped off with a stylish blazer or jacket. He pays attention to the details, such as matching his belt and shoes, and is always impeccably groomed, with a clean-shaven face or a well-maintained beard.

Lodewijk and MC have met each other before during the Diamond Chick competition in 2010. Although they did not form a deep connection at the time, they now have the opportunity to rekindle or improve whatever relationship they had. The two will cross paths again at one of the pre-parties arranged by the fans of the competition, and Lodewijk is also set to perform as one of the interval acts during the grand final this year. Your choices will determine the nature of your relationship with Lodewijk. You can choose to become friends, remain acquaintances, or even develop a mutual dislike for each other. Alternatively, if you pursue a romantic relationship with him, you have the chance to become lovers.

His musical inspiration is Duncan Laurence, he prefers to express his emotions though music. The reason for his place in the grand final was that he was overemotional while singing the song. The reason for that is just before the grand final he broke up with his boyfriend because he just found out that he was cheating. His song from 2019 was "Piercing Snow".

The two first crossed paths during a trip to Amsterdam when they were in their early twenties.

After maintaining a long-distance relationship for almost a year, Adam relocated to the United States to be with Erin, and the couple dated for an additional six months before tying the knot. Their son, Nicholas, was born on September 16th of the same year, but despite their best efforts, both Erin and Adam found it challenging to balance parenthood with their busy professional lives.
