is the designated driver and who always gets wasted: Diana gets wasted. If they go to a place with good drinks, she’s definitely gonna get wasted. Riley just has to make sure she gets home alright. 

always has to host the impromptu sleepover: Well, they do live together, but i’m sure it’s Riley who comes into Diana’s room for an impromptu sleepover. Which she’s always fine with because while she does love her beauty sleep, she loves chatting and hanging out with Riley more. 

who’s netflix account gets mooched off of: They both mooch off of Joy.

brings all the snacks and who supplies the movie: They switch off. Because Diana knows she can’t make them watch rom coms every time, and Riley has learned that Diana can only take so many sports movies. 

is usually the first one to say sorry after a fight: Probably Riley, but also Riley is one of the very few people that Diana will actually apologize to. 

is the ‘ mom friend ‘: Diana. 

calls the other at 12 am to wish the other a happy birthday without fail: I feel like they both do. Riley is probably better about it though. 

is the better wingman to the other: Diana is here to hype Riley up and make sure they always look amazing.

“Honey, no. How many times do I have to tell you. You can’t wear the floral tights with something other than a simple dress of a complementary color.” Honestly, Diana wished she’d burn the things, but Joy seemed to like them and wouldn’t do that so she found a compromise. But she was wearing a patterned shirt with a bolt skirt and these impossibly loud tights and Diana couldn’t bear it. “Please pick something else. Or at least a different top.”

“Please don’t shout, I am already stressed enough,” Diana groaned, standing on a chair. “Are you? If you’re fine help me find that damn monster.” She scans the ground for the spider that she could’ve sworn was nearly as big as her hand. But, anyone who knew her would probably know that she was exaggerating. But it was a big ass spider.

What is the worst thing to ever happen to you?

“My mom wasn’t the nicest person to me growing and then a while back she just left and cut ties. And then when I was a teenager my dad died so... That all kind of really sucked.”  

“What, did you think I was gonna say I had a bad hairday once?”

out of all your roommates who has the worst sense of style?

“Angelo by far. I think because he cares the least so like between the scowl on his face and the dark and worn out clothes, he always looks ready to punch someone in the throat. Like at least when Riley’s outfits miss the mark, at least they still look cute. And even though some of the looks Joy puts together are absolutely atrocious, she’s got so much pep and confidence in it that she also looks cute and I kind of admire her willingness to just where whatever she wants. Though... don’t tell her I said that.”

“i was being sarcastic when i suggested it, di.” angelo sighs, though he’s not actually annoyed. “that logic has never worked for anyone ever.” he shakes his head, he can think of a lot of artists whose confidence could not outweigh how stupid they looked. “but at least the outfits you came up with look nice.” he grumbles, because there’s the silver lining: the fact that no one suggested they dress up like lobsters because with Riley it was honestly a little touch and go on that. “hey, i also suggested Africa and i didn’t see you guys jumping on that so this isn’t all on me ok.” he smiles, even though they both know it kind of is. had he not sarcastically agreed they honestly wouldn’t be singing this song of all songs right now. but his own annoyance aside he was sure they’d have fun, and if anyone had anything to say well…he was a better fighter than he was a singer, that’s for sure.

She rolls her eyes, “Well, how was anyone suppose to know; you’re like, always sarcastic.” Diana shrugs when he questions her logic. She’s not going to dwell on it too much. She’s focusing on how this is for Riley and how cute it will look to have them all up there. Di smiles proudly, glad to know he at least acknowledged that, but she does just respond with, “Of course they do. When don’t my outfits look nice?” she was just glad no one suggested costumes. Especially not thematic ones to go with their song choice. “Because it never looks like a joke when you sing Africa; it seems like you’re being serious. At least with Rock Lobster, people might be able to see that we’re doing that song ironically,” even though they weren’t. Not really. “And if you hadn’t thrown out a song that sounded so wild that of course Riley would agree, we wouldn’t be in this boat at all. So I’m pretty sure the blame is on you. Or on Riley, but we never blame them, they’re just a kid so really it’s you because you’re the adult and should know better.” She teases him with a pat on his arm.

angelo can’t believe this is about to happen. he knows, technically, he did agree to it. but he thought it was very clear to everyone that he was being sarcastic when ferris suggested rock lobster and he agreed. but apparently riley didn’t see it that way, and angelo just doesn’t have the heart to back out on the kid now. not when they’re so excited, not when debby agreed to do it too. his own personal feelings about singing what has to be the dumbest song known to man matter none when it comes to being there for his friends. fucking sap. “now, why the fuck didn’t you demand we change the song last minute?” he asks diana, tone amused even if he does want to know. “i was counting on you and you caved and let me down for what? so you can dress riley for a week?” he thought for sure if any of them would have had something to say about all this it’d be diana, and while they’re not the closest of the group he can’t help but feel a little betrayed by one of his oldest friends right now. @dianaguste

Di just rolled her eyes. “Why’d you suggest such a shitty song?” she replied in the same tone. “Honestly, I couldn’t think of a better song. Because here’s the thing, we either try too hard to pick a good song and look like idiots because we’re clearly trying too hard to be good, or we pick a dumb song and look like we’re just having fun with it and everyone else has fun with it. Because if you act confident and like you know how stupid you look and you own it, you don’t look stupid anymore.” She finished touching up her makeup and then looked over to him. “And yes, dressing them for a week is a bonus. And if you suggest a stupid ass song thinking someone’s gonna bail you out of it, you deserve to be seen singing a stupid ass song.”

“I know and I get that, safety is important, blah blah blah, but have you seen what that thing does to your hair? And have you smelled it recently? How does a helmet even smell that bad; how much does your head actually sweat??” Diana shudders and shakes her head. “No, I just, I can’t. I just cannot. They may save lives but they’re ugly and tacky and just... I can’t even think about where to begin washing a helmet.”

What are your muses romantic standards? Would they ever fall for someone of a lower class?

As high as Diana’s standards are, and as much as she makes it seem like if she isn’t treated like a queen by her partner she has no interest, she’s also a believer of loving someone wholly-- flaws and all. She might act shallow, but matters of the heart are different if she’s looking for something serious. She knows that even though she tries, she isn’t perfect, and she knows it’s not fair to expect perfection from someone else. She just wants what most people do: someone who loves her for who she is and not what she looks like. And that’s how she judges romantic partners too. Anyone can look pretty with the right amount of effort, but if they’re unattractive on the inside, there’s not a lot you can do to change that. She would go for an “average looking” hardworking person who loved her for her over an unnaturally attractive billionaire who only liked her because she was attractive any day of the week.

And in such a bad spot, do you know how visible this stitch is going to be? Ex.treme.ly.” Di shook her head, letting out an exasperated sigh. “Honestly, this is worse than the time you got blood on this thing. Why is hockey so aggressive?”

“I love the energy here!” The man had to shout to be heard over the loud music as he made his way through the crowd, a grin on his face. No one who knew Flik would ever guess that he would actually enjoy an event such as this but he liked to consider himself a fun guy. He was, wasn’t he? “Don’t you just love it? People just dancing without a care in the world, it doesn’t even matter what song it is! They just dance.”

She almost didn’t hear him over the music. She was just having a good time, trying not to get too sweaty, but when she realized he was actually talking, Di turned her attention to him. “Oh, it’s wonderful,” she said with a bit of a smile. “Wish it wasn’t so hot, though. Can’t stand how sweaty these things can get.” She looked him over. Adorable, she thought, though seemed a little out of place. But maybe that was just because he wasn’t a drunk twenty-year-old screaming for no reason. Which was something she could appreciate. “You know what makes dancing even more fun? Drinks,” she offered him one of the ones she had in her hand. Honestly, she didn’t remember who she grabbed that second drink for; could’ve been an acquaintance she bumped into or it could’ve been for herself. Didn’t matter, she didn’t care. “And someone to dance with.”

“It absolutely counts,” Dani nods, reaching into her purse for the flask she brought herself. “And there is nothing sad about it!” The blonde had long since overcome any feelings of shame in her day to day life, and she certainly wasn’t about to start feeling bad for drinking in the middle of the afternoon. “It’s not our fault drinking just makes everything more fun,” she shrugs. Not even bothering to be discrete, she pours a generous shot of vodka into her solo cup of lemonade.

“Right?” she nodded, agreeing wholeheartedly. “Anyone who says otherwise either is lying or is extremely boring.” Diana watched her pour a generous amount of vodka into her cup. She raised her cup in a cheers. “Now that’s my kinda girl,” Diana laughed, sipping on her margarita. “Love your outfit by the way, you look absolutely stunning.”

Daisy was always down for a good time. And she loved a nice picnic and a fun parade! For once she came alone though, not sure if any of her friends would have wanted to go. She was sure Minnie would have said yes but she didn’t always have to have her best friend beside her. She was grabbing a drink when she spotted a pair of feet with the cutest purple shoes she had ever seen in her life. She approached the person and tapped them on the shoulder. “Where ever did you get those shoes? I just LOVE them. And they’re proper footwear for an event like this. I adore it.”

“Oh my god, thank you so much!” Diana said with a smile. She seemed to finally have run into someone with taste. Yes, she knew it was a picnic and it was pride, but it just looked like everyone threw on whatever they had that was most colorful. “I got them at that little boutique not too far from here,” she said, waving her hand a bit to motion in what she assumed was the direction of the store. “They’ve always got such amazing shoes over there.” She looked the other woman over. “And look at you; I love your whole look and those shoes are to die for.” Yes, she had Joy she could talk to about fashion stuff, but she didn’t think she got it; not like this woman seemed to. “I’m Diana, by the way.”

“Listen, it’s not day drinking if you’re at a party, and I think a pride picnic counts as a party,” Diana took a sip from her reusable plastic cup that was definitely meant for water and not sipping on a frozen margarita she had made before leaving the house. “Well, maybe it is day drinking, but it’s not as sad.”
