Boracay on a budget!
I’ve been to boracay twice in the span of 4 months and here are my tips and reco’s for you if you’re planning to visit boracay island during this pandemic.
What to do first?
Book a Flight
Secure a hotel reservation
Make sure that you are fully vaccinated and you’re vaxcert copy is uploaded from this website HERE.
Once you’re all set, 3 days prior your scheduled flight you should apply for OHDC-Boracay. This is like a safe pass/QR code that you need to show in the airport, local immigration or the restaurants and facilities within the island.
You can apply for OHDC Pass HERE.
Hotel options:
You can try agoda or airbnb for the booking, they have flash sales
You can book with 3-5 star hotels if you have a budget like hennan or red coconut but they are real pricey.
Opt for hostels and dorm type stays in the island like club ten or frendz hostel.
Perks of booking in a good but not 3-5 star hotels are:
They are cheap sometimes about 600 pesos per night for the bedspace types
You are only at the hotel for changing clothes and sleeping, most of the time you are out and about
They have the same accommodation like the big hotels but for a much cheaper price
