“No occasion, you just looked kind of lonely. Besides, I wanted to see how you were after what happened last time I saw you.”
“Oh, and call me Dia, Daisy, there’s really no need to be so formal with me.”
“Last time you saw me?” Daisy asked, brows furrowing. Did Alex tell Dia what had happened with her and the capo’s little play thing? Was this about to become a legal consolation? Of course, nearly every time she came in contact with Diayu, she was headed away from some kind of fight. Nodding as she remembered, she laughed. “Oh, yeah, that. I’m fine, but thank you for your concern.”
“Dia, then.” She offered the woman a slight smile. Dia was the type of person that Daisy had been around all through her childhood, frighteningly put together, wealthy, and was threatening enough without training. Despite the fact that Daisy didn’t fear people like her anymore, she did have a good amount of respect for people like Dia and Anna.
Dia nodded, happy to know that she was at least alright after her hand needing to be stitched up. “Glad to hear it, Daisy.”
“That’s better. You know I’m not actually as scary as I seem right?” Dia asked, tilting her head. “I’m actually quite caring. I know being a part of all this can make it seem otherwise, but I do anything I can to help people out.”
