Dipber one shot or chapter one idk
Dib looks at the plastic stars on his roof in his bedroom. They glow so brightly somehow and as he keeps staring at them he can feel his eye bags getting bigger. The stars on his roof start to swirl in a circle, as he starts to feel more dizzy from the exhaustion.
He needs a distraction quick, before the bad thoughts start coming.
He pulls out his phone, eyes stinging from how bright it is. He then drops the phone on his face, hearing a small clacking sound when his phone drops on his glasses.
"Damnit!" He whispers under his breath, not wanting to wake up his dad or sibling.
He unlocks his phone after a few weary tries, and scrolls through his contacts until he sees Dipper's, his name on his phone having a small blue heart next to it.
He sighs looking at his name, melting at the thought of him.
"You know, he never is going to like you. You are a freak." A small voice in his head says.
He shakes off the bad vibe, texting Dipper hesitantly.
He waits for Dipper's response nervously.
Dib chuckles a bit at the nickname he received while they were ghost hunting.
Me: haha. I can't sleep. You wanna call?
Dib waits exactly two minutes and thirteen seconds as his heart beats in his chest. He starts frantically typing.
Me: Sorry sorry, I know it's late and I just want to distract myself-
Suddenly, his ringtone (of course it being lemon demon) starts going off, and his heart jumps even more.
After a couple of rings, his shaky finger answers the call as he sees Dipper, adorable as ever.
He is outside of his house, pine trees surrounding him as some fire flies fly around him.
His voice is slightly deeper than usual, as Dipper is several months on testosterone (lucky) shows clearly.
"Hey Dib. Couldn't sleep either?"
His eyes start to feel even heavier at the question.
"Nope, what kept you up?"
Dipper goes silent, his smile turning into a frown.
"You having nightmares again?"
Dipper nods sadly, as he averts eye contact.
Dib looks around nervous, trying to find something to comfort his special friend.
"I... I got a new lead on the mothman case?!"
Dipper's face lights up so quickly, as he quickly goes back to his nerdy self.
"YOU DID?" he shouts, probably waking up his family.
He chuckles, Dib's face red at the thought of Dipper being happy.
Thoughtlessly, Dib reveals a thought under his breath.
Dib's eyes widen as he realizes what he said.
"I said that! I recently found him by Zim's house!! Mothman!"
Dipper looks so excited he could burst.
"REALLY? AT THAT WEIRD GREEN KID'S HOUSE??"
"I told you man, Zim is an alien."
"It could just be a skin condition, ghoul." He says jokingly.
Dib mutters words under his breathe, hating that joke.
Dipper laughs. "Sorry, I believe you man. Of course I do. Your..."
He pauses as he starts to sweat.
"Your one of the only people that I trust, Really."
Dib's face starts to feel flush. "Why does my face feel so hot after hearing that?" he thinks.
He starts to sweat a little as well, awkwardly chuckling.
"T...thanks man, you too... Anyway!" He clears his throat, trying to remove himself from this feeling.
"Here is the picture of mothman at Zim's house, just, sitting there; ominously."
He sends a picture of a blurry shadowy figure with deep red eyes, sitting on the satelite dish on his house.
"Whoa..." Dipper walks into his house, lying on his couch in disbelief.
"I can't believe he is real. I have never seen an actual picture of him."
"I know right? This is just the beginning." Dib starts to flap his hands in excitement.
"Your uncle is coming to our house in a couple of days, right Dipper?"
Dipper yawns as his eyes start to droop, tiredly speaking.
"Yeah. I can't wait to see you again."
Dib panics as he realizes that those words sound too romantic, so he adds another word to ease the tension.
Dipper laughs a little more, before his eyes close, feeling safe around his friend.
"Oh, and Dib? Can I tell you something?"
Dib's face feels way hotter than average, hating the embarrassed feeling once more.
Dib is about to pass out if Dipper keeps talking.
"tacos with doritos in it... it's a-"
He yawns tiredly one last time, seconds from dozing off.
Dipper starts to snore, his phone dropping to his chest.
He hangs up, happy that Dipper was not awake to hear that.
He holds his phone to his chest, again starting at the stars in his room, spacing out and thinking about thoughts he innocently considered taboo.
He blushes immensely thinking about holding Dipper's hand, thinking about if it would be soft or not.
What was he going to do with himself?
