If there was any word you could say to express your hatred toward traffic jam, you’d say it million times. Traffic killed you. Not literally because here you were sitting on the passenger seat messing around with the aux cord, trying to deal with the fact that you hadn’t move from the same spot in an hour. Plus the playlist you just tried to blast didn’t seem to ease the stressful atmosphere, so you got to keep on scrolling and scrolling. They were pure torture.

It was around ten in the evening when both you and your boyfriend decided to go on a date after weeks of being away. Final weeks were close and neither of you had the audacity to fail this semester. Yes, you missed spending an entire night talking about the stars and the moon, but you promised to each other to prioritize your studies—making a path for a good future. So both you and him had to be satisfied with just an hour or two of facetime a day.

[12:03] you lay sprawled on the sofa in front of your work, distracted and tired. after only three hours of sleep your mind conjures shapes out of thin air, your eyes struggle to keep themselves open. you stand finally to stretch out your limbs and he walks in when you roll your shoulders up high, ‘are you alright?’ he asks you, concerned knowing how little you slept last night. you shake your head and sit down again, and you feel his hands on your shoulders. haechan sits beside you and goes to kiss your ear, his lips touch parts of your neck lightly, ‘want a massage honey?’ he asks. he watches you nod as he begins to squeeze your shoulders; feeling you relax immediately at his gentle touch. you gesture for him to massage your back and his hands reach under your shirt to press gently up and down your back. ‘is this okay?’ his voice is quiet and you nod once again sleepily. your eyes close again, falling into a light sleep as his arms envelope your body to his chest.
