was very suddenly missing carlos last nite so i did some doodles.

Volition was shut down by Embracer.

A lot people are bringing it up so I'm gonna address it here.

Deep Silver still owns the Saints Row IP. This isn't the end of Saints Row franchise. Just the death of the only studio that somewhat understood the appeal of the series.

The SR2 PC patch will likely still happen, it would just be finished by another studio. There's even a chance they'll do another Saints Row without Volition (Volition had no interest in doing Saints Row 6 ever since they got with Gearbox, so this was a likely scenario for months now).

It sucks that hundreds of people lost their job over something out of their control (Volition is the 2nd studio they shut down this month, and they also laid off bunch of people at Gearbox too), because their parent company bought 100 new studios in the last few years and realized they can't afford them, but for the IP, everything seems to be going well, most likely for the worse.

throwback to when i first played thru the red asphalt quest and right after the carlos dying mission it was raining and my boss got into a car and the first song that played was moonlight sonata. other games WISH it had the coincidental perfect ambience that sr2 had
