Having a fictive of a popular character is so funny because you see posts like âimagine [person] waking up in the morning with bed headâ like bitch i already do that he eats my ice cream and lies to my mother for me
wondering if anyone elseâs primary protectors just disappear into the headspace for hours or sometimes days at a time without explanation?Â
our thoughts on endogenic systems (as parts of a traumagenic system)
personally we donât really believe that a system can be truly endogenic, HOWEVER, that doesnât mean that it isnât valid to identify as an endogenic system. we believe that scientifically isnât possible to have DID without severe childhood trauma, but we do believe its possible to not remember your trauma, or to have it stored way too deep in your headspace/inner world to even access it. in our minds endogenic systems arenât systems that didnât experience trauma, but instead they are systems that canât remember/access it, and thatâs totally okay!! if you are multiple and you canât remember your trauma thatâs totally okay and you are still valid, cause why would you want to remember it? donât let the endophobes get to you.
that being said, we donât really get/agree with tulpas as a part of the multiple community. weâre always open to discussion however! weâd hate to offend someone just because we got a few definitions wrong haha.Â
please donât send hate, but feel free to message us with opposing views or ideas. we love discussion and would love to learn new things or respectfully debate <3.Â

DID Thing #5
Co-fronting or experiencing passive influence and feeling like someone put you in a blender and made a personality smoothie.
Some explanations about integration and the language around it! All definitions taken (but paraphrased) from the ISSTD Journal of Trauma and Dissociation (2011).
And just a footnote: There is no âone size fits allâ goal. The needs and desires of each system are between the parts and their therapist (if they have one.) Whether a system wants to pursue final fusion or come to a resolution between parts is totally up to them. Both are valid and respected options.

Can we all be a little more careful about how we talk about trauma and DID?
Too frequently I see people who have been pushed into believing that they canât have DID/OSDD because someone told them that their trauma wasnât bad enough or didnât occur during the exact right time period.Â
Today I saw a post by someone who had misunderstood the critical period for the formation of DID and thought that unless their trauma happened between the ages of 6 and 9 they couldnât have DID. They thought that trauma that happened before age six was too early.Â
So lets be really clear in the way we speak. DID is caused by childhood trauma between birth and when children typically finish developing a cohesive sense of self. For most children, this occurs around age six but for some children it happens as late as age nine.Â
So DID is caused by trauma between birth and age 6 or 9. It is not caused by trauma between ages 6 to 9.Â
And on a similar note, can be please stop saying that DID is caused only by the most extreme forms of child abuse? DID is caused by trauma. Trauma includes more than abuse. Some people with DID were never abused. Some people with DID do not consider what they went through âextremeâ and hearing these things can be invalidating and send people into denial or keep people from considering DID as a possibility.Â
When you suddenly front and just kinda stare off for a minute trying to figure out where you are and who you are
TW - what itâs like to live with DID
Most people out there have no idea how hard it isâŠ
to ask yourself permanently who you are
not to know how to survive the day
to lose time and forget things all dayÂ
to struggle with alters who want to die or hurt the body
to struggle with alters who want to go back to the abusers because everything is better than being aloneÂ
to be overwhelmed by emotions like anger, sadness, anxiety
to be afraid of getting into a state of dissociation in public situations, being petrified, not able to move or talk
not to be able to trust anyone because everyone you trusted has abandoned you or abused youÂ
Thank you @dissociatingdingo for being my editor on this one. â„
My casual explanations are a combination of academic research, personal experience, and community feedback. These are informal (or loosely defined) terms for common DID/OSDD experiences, and may not be applicable to every DID/OSDD system. Some systems may have additional experiences not listed.

Me after drinking an energy drink: dissociation, but faster
can you like/reblog this if youre a DID/OSDD system?
i really want to follow and meet more ppl!
What people think DID is: Oh we are all people actively living in the head and itâs so black and white and easy to tell between switches actual DID: itâs been 3 hours and I still canât tell whoâs fronting.
Should I make more of these with other alter roles?
-Gabriel
teacher: please split into groups of four or five people me and my alters: done that
