Things I didn’t realize were strange most of my life…I didn’t look in the mirror much and when I did, I’d look directly in the eyes cause I didn’t relate to the person staring back. I have a memory of saying my given name over and over and each time it felt more foreign to me like it wasn’t even a name, like it was losing meaning. I even mentioned it to my dad once and of course he laughed at me. But maybe that was his standard reaction cause I once told him I hated being a girl
Update on my therapy: my therapist doesnt want to diagnose me yet, which is fine except for when she started talking about helping me (the host) to integrate all "my personalities back into the original one"
And I was like oh... oh no, theres so much wrong with everything she just said. I straight up refused and this caught her off guard, she said she wanted to help me so that "the other personalities wouldn't disrupt my life."
....
They... dont..? They help ALL of us to live a better day to day life and for the love of God we all have a right to live. We all are valid people and we are all equally real.
We work together as a system, a family, we are all living a life together.
Honestly I'm just really frustrated
As Primary Protector, sometimes pretending to be the host can be a bit second nature. I may or may not have accidentally replied as Riku on a DM out of habit and went along with it. I also may or may not have scheduled for this post to be posted a while after this instance as to make sure there was plenty of time for anyone who has gotten a message recently to not know exactly which that was.
I am the master illusionist here.

Although we don’t really like using roles in our system, because we don’t really fit them well, Aris best fits that role for us, and I want to give him credit. He’s usually around, if not fronting, when we do homework, or need to shower. He’s rather emotionless, so he kind of dissociates us from triggers that we deal with daily. These tend not to be big triggers, but he deals with them, and I want to thank him for making the day that much easier.
