Randomly thinking that towards the end of the original Pokémon anime, the Team Rocket trio really should've reformed

The show kept going back and forth with one member temporarily leaving Team Rocket for an episode and then going back, but why not have all of them leave?

James is pretty knowledgeable about pokemon in general and can free from his family without being evil

Jessie has a lot of potential as a coordinator and various idols careers. Her case is understandable because her mom was also in Team Rocket, but Jessie really would be better doing her own thing

Meowth could just be happy as long as he's with everyone

As villainous as they could be, they all had their own morals and genuinely loved all of their pokemon. At some point, I think a good epiphany would've made them quit Team Rocket for good and be happier that way

That could've been an interesting arc. The trio quit and are replaced by a more dangerous trio sent to take down the turncoats

Mainly because I honestly think Cookie Run's spreading itself too think with all these games. That's a conversation for later

But I recently learned that they dived into lore about the Five Beasts and the witches that made them

There are unconfirmed but strong implications that some other witches they introduced also made the Five Ancients

A defense of Fairy Tail's use of Nakama power

Like most shonen, Fairy Tail uses "my friends are my power" and has characters winning fights or obtaining powers because of their love for their friends

When you think about it, Fairy Tail actually justifies this

A recurring theme for different antagonists is that they seek the primordial magic to create a world they desire. Many villains chase after it and spout their own theory on what the true source is

After a few arcs, multiple characters, mainly Lucy and Mavis, think about what the primordial magic is and decide that it comes from love. Fairy Tail actually backs up this theory because the strongest magics are born from acts of love

Protecting people they cared about. Standing together when all else fails

Lucy showcases this the most. She summoned all of her spirits at once to show her resolve to save Loke. She summoned her third spirit and later the Celestial King in Tartaros because of how determined she was to save her loved ones. Her magic itself is fueled by love

In Erza's fight against Ikaruga, she overcame her opponent after resolving to connect to her loved ones more openly and found more strength

Gray's strength comes from the love Ur left behind for him before she died and that still carries him forward

Natsu, Wendy, and Gajeel's magic is a product of love too. Their adoptive parents all taught them that magic out of love

Mirajane and Elfman mastered their monstrous takeovers for the sake of family

Juvia's rain stopped because she found important bonds that allowed her to move forward

Of the Three Great Fairy magics, two of them are based on love. Fairy Sphere is fueled by it and Fairy Law attacks based on who the caster loves. Fairy Glitter was earned to protected loved ones

Love is the primordial magic of the world and the characters are at their strongest when love is their focus

Does Weiss deserve to be held accountable for the SDC's mistreatment of Faunus?

The short answer is yes

The long answer is.... still yes, but there's important nuance to be had

Weiss's biggest crime when it comes to the anti-faunus bigotry is her complacency. It was easy for her to blindly hate them all and not care about how the company mistreated faunus. While it's unclear how aware she was about it, she still benefited from it to a high degree

While Jacques's crimes are his own and she shouldn't inherit them, the fact is that it's too recent to say that it has nothing to do with her. Even though it started before she was born, she was also still raised with the prejudice and didn't let go of that until recently

It's also important to acknowledge that regardless of your stance of how valid it is to hold her accountable for what is mostly her dad's fault, Weiss WANTS to be the next CEO of the SDC

If she wants to lead the company, she has to be willing to confront the mess left behind as the previous leader. Especially since it's a family legacy. If a leader is despised for the choices he made while in power, of course people are gonna question how his child intends to act when they take over

If Weiss disowned her name and title, then she is exempt from the conversation beyond her personal flaws. But since she intends to redeem her family's company, she has to confront those misdeeds directly and it does not matter whenever she personally caused those problems or not

They are her responsibility because she's chosen to accept them as her responsibility. She can't be the new head of the Schnee Dust Company without a promise and guarantee to fix what was wrong and that includes how they mistreated faunus

I guess Eve's isn't entirely out of the blue because I know her and Mark have a kid in the comics, I just wasn't expecting it so soon

Millie's is more out of nowhere because how much development did she get before this?

Having a baby can be an interesting arc. The struggle of impending motherhood has a lot of potential, but it feels pretty sudden because we don't even know how they felt about having kids before the pregnancies happened
