Been a while since I’ve uploaded anything on my tumblr, sorry about that! Here’s my 'Orc Girl’ speedsculpt based on concept art by Max Grecke. The top one was rendered in Maya using Redshift and the bottom two were rendered in ZBrush.
Hope you like it~
Koyori n “X” - Fanart
Happy 2019 everyone! I got around to finishing this piece based on Koyorin’s artwork “X”
Hope you like it! Feedback is always welcome and appreciated :}
Faun - WIP
I wanted to recreate the first sculpt I’d ever made, which is a little over a year ago now. It’s mostly something I’m working on in between other things as a fun project
Artstation Challenge - Feudal Japan: The Shogunate
Update on the body and armor, still need to add details & textures before I can render.
xGen Project - Finished
I finished this a few weeks ago but wasn’t sure about posting it because I’m not happy with the face. But since the focus was supposed to be on the hair I figured I should move on to a new project, in the end I did learn a lot! I might adjust the face some more later but for now I’m calling it done. Hope you like it anyway!
Exploring xGen - Update #4
Been chipping away at my xGen project, I’ve finished the main hair to a point I’m quite happy with, I still need to create the baby hairs, refine the edges and create a nice hair shader. I’ve started on the eyebrows (they’re so much more difficult than the main hair!) but yeah I’m not super happy with them yet, they need to be more arched in the middle and cleaner overall. Then eyelashes, face fuzziness and her sweater, wish me luck!

Been working really hard on this one so I would appreciate it dearly if you would share it, thank you!
Artstation Challenge - Feudal Japan: The Shogunate
The new Artstation challenge has started its production phase and I’m joining the film/vfx (rendered) division! Here’s some of the references I’ll be using, mainly focusing on correct anatomy right now.
The amazing concept art that I’ll be using was created by Radoslav Topalov!
Exploring xGen - Update #3
Today I finished the main body of the hair! It’s going better than expected although my laptop strongly disagrees by burning through the table -sorry laptop-
Next up is adding noise modifiers and details like flyaways~
Exploring xGen - Hair WIP
Started on the hair today, I’ve mainly been following Danny Mac’s and Jesus FC’s tutorials on xGen. So far it’s been going alright, haven’t cried or pulled out my hair yet so that’s a good sign! But I’m gonna call it a day, hopefully I can work some more on it tomorrow!
Exploring xGen - Sculpt Update
Finally got around finishing the sculpt, retopo, UV mapping and fine details! I originally wanted to create the skin details with projections in Mari but decided to create the pores and wrinkles in ZBrush by hand cause I’m too broke to afford the nice xyz textures. I might make a self portrait so I can use my own pictures hehe
Hi everyone!
I’m sorry I haven’t been posting as much lately but I’ve been studying! I was creating some props (as you might know) when I came to the UV mapping stage and suddenly found that I don’t know that much about it and wondered if there wasn’t a quicker/better way to do it. So mainly I’ve been watching a lot of tutorials and I wanted to share this one. This guy, Malcolm341, has some really great tutorials on UV mapping and created some scripts as well (I haven’t tried them yet but I might buy them soon, I’ll let you know). Anyway this turned into a long post suddenly, just check it out if you don’t know texel density or wanna know more about UV’s and stuff because it’s super important okay bye!
Exploring xGen Project
I’ve been wanting to explore xGen hair forever and I’ve finally found some inspiration when I saw Madelaine Petsch’s beautiful red hair in the Riverdale TV series! Here’s some blocking screenshots on the bust straight out of ZBrush. The hair blocking in ZBrush isn’t necessary but it helps me sculpt & it’s good to have a guide for reference when it’s put into Maya :D
Crystal Bretz has an amazing blog post on how she created a stylized model with a realistic feel to it + xGen hair, check it out over here!
Seillean - 3D Animated Short Film
And here is the final version of my short film Seillean, I hope you like it!
Thanks so much to everyone who’s been following my blog these past few months. It’s been a steep learning curve but also a lot of fun and super rewarding! I hope the progress I’ve put on my blog can help/inspire other people, if you feel like you want to do something similar, don’t be afraid to go for it!
Also, plant seeds and show the bees some love! WE NEED THEM

Intro Reliefs [ZBrush + Substance Painter + Unity]
For the intro of the film I wanted to have bas-reliefs that told a story combined with a voice-over. I created a simple plane in ZBrush and made 4 different panels that pictured a part of the story. I then baked it as a normal map in Substance Painter and when I combined everything in Unity turned the normal map very low so it looked more shallow but with a clear outline.
For the light I wanted it to look like someone was passing by the walls with a torch. I created a light in Unity and put a script on it to make it flicker like fire. Then I animated the light itself and the camera to move slowly. I also put the audio track into Unity so the timing was a perfect match.
