The best men’s haircut for every face shape
funny “[x] is gay” jokes: main characters, characters homophobes love and don’t deserve, circumstances like the babadook being mislabeled as an lgbt film, gay-coded villains that you personally have chosen to reclaim
unfunny “[x] is gay” jokes: every fucking villain or monster (especially ones that prey on kids) being labeled as gay and straight people running with that and drawing them as judges on rupaul or w/ever else because that’s all they know about gay people
The gay Babadook joke didn't come from a Netflix mishap - that was a shop. The joke started with a textpost declaring him gay, riding off the Tumblr micromeme of claiming various things to belong to gays.
And that joke works because it laughs at the state of LGBT representation, that we have to declare these ridiculous creatures to be gay just to get our existence acknowledged.
Pennywise Boyfriend could fall into that same category, it just unfortunately carries that child predator baggage like you reference.
So I agree with you, I just think it should be played a little more fast and loose
GF: *sends ass pic* what u gon do wit that babe? 😘😘😘 Me: dam Idk I guess stick my weiner in it
List of actors that should stop getting roles
I’ll start: Jared Leto
thats it, thats the list.
Auli'i Cravalho
Mark Wahlberg
Johnny Depp
Charlie Sheen
Carmen Electra
Mel Gibson
Tom Cruise
Emma Roberts
Chris Brown (not an actor but he doesnt deserve work)
Chad Ochocinco
Adam Sandler
Bill Cosby
I still can’t enjoy moana because of all that crap auli'i said
Oh shit what did she say??
WHAT DID SHE SAY
WHAT THE FUCK DID AULI'I SAY IS THIS FOR REAL
i am also interested in what Auli’i said.
@foxshowl, you gonna tell everyone or are you just trolling?
@foxshowl what’s good
@foxshowl
She kept getting upset because people couldn’t pronounce her name (you know, a name most people have never encountered) and then she snapped at people who didn’t know her name and called her moana. She heavily implied that it was because of racism. I just got tired of her playing the victim and snapping at fans for something that wasn’t they’re fault.
I have no respect for an actor who disrespects their fans
No one is looking for or needs your reaching for the star ass. You’re the joke of the day.
Oh my God
THAT WAS A RIDE HOLY SHIT
Foxshowl is tripping, for real, holy shit. Tryn’a make me think this girl did some shit on the level of Johnny Depp.
@theguywithallthegifs @foxshowl are you really both saying that a 16 year old girl deserves to no longer receive acting roles because she wants people to pronounce her name correctly instead of calling her by an entirely different one???? Alongside a list full of abusers and a rapist?????
Honestly? Yes. Being called a character’s name is part of being an actor. Even actors that have been in a lot of movies get called by the name of a character they played. If she isn’t mature enough to handle an aspect of her job, she needs to find a different job. And I don’t have an issue with her wanting to be called her name. What I have an issue with is how she handles it. My name is also one people have a hard time pronouncing (no, I’m not going to tell you what it is). I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve heard it pronounced correctly by someone not from my culture. But it’s a difficult name to pronounce for a lot of people. I don’t get mad, I don’t call them racist for it, and I don’t mind if they want to use a version they can actually pronounce. If she wants people to call her auli'i and pronounce it correctly that’s fine, but if she’s going to be an actor, she needs to learn to accept these things with grace. If she can’t, she’s 16. She can find a different career. She’s made money off of the movie, she’s already far ahead of most 16 year olds. I don’t have any sympathy for her.
@foxshowl @theguywithallthegifs how fucking dare you place this as issue that is tantamount to abuse and rape. Yes you are right in that she should get over people calling her Moana. But to say that this is just as egregious as physical/mental/sexual abuse is insulting to those of us who’ve been through abuse and trivializes those experiences. A young woman thrust into the spotlight for the first time who, bless her heart, isn’t mature as a person or actor yet, is not comparable to a rapist or someone who abuses their partner. You being frustrated with her doesn’t make that the same.
At what point did either of us say she is the same as a rapist or abuser? This list was about who he didn’t want to see in movies anymore. I picked out one of those actors and said I didn’t like seeing her in a movie. At no point did either of us say why all the other actors should not be in movies anymore. At no point did we say those reasons carry the same weight.
the question: “are you really both saying that a 16 year old girl deserves to no longer receive acting roles because she wants people to pronounce her name correctly instead of calling her by an entirely different one???? Alongside a list full of abusers and a rapist?????”
the question so obviously implied if you believed that the frustration you have with her is on the same level as being a rapist and abuser
your response: “Honestly? Yes.”
why you actin brand new with saying you never put her on the same level lmao
See, this is what happens when people ask multiple questions in one post. My first sentence was clearly referring to the first question if you paid any attention to what I said following my initial answer.
You say "I don’t get mad, I don’t call them racist for it, and I don’t mind if they want to use a version they can actually pronounce." But also say "If she wants people to call her auli'i and pronounce it correctly that’s fine"
It really sounds like you DONT think she should be correcting people at all. Otherwise, why would you include how *you* handle it? Either that part is completely irrelevant or you're being hypocritical.
And where are these receipts on her losing grace and getting mad at fans? From what I've seen she always says it with a smile.
There's a difference between TERF signs that equate womanhood to genitals, and signs that embrace their womanhood by dispelling stigmas around the female genitalia especially in regards to reproductive rights

4 word horror story
“I heard my wife knock on the bathroom door, but then I remembered…. our bathroom doesn’t have a door”
I’m sorry, but the confusion of why your bathroom doesn’t have a door far outweighs any feelings of horror this might evoke.
can’t afford door.. the horror here is the realities of life
So what fuck was your wife knocking on

It’s not even 4 words???

where the fuck are the filipinos?
Filipinos are the second richest ethnicity in the United States. And we’re the second biggest Asian population.
Where the fuck are we in the media. Not that I want the model minority myth to be applied to Filipinos or something. Or that I want to be stereotyped as rich. But fuck!
We’re Asian too! We need to be seen!
I can name 2 examples of Filipinos in the media. The (very recent) Crazy Ex Girlfriend. And Cinderella by Roger and Hammerstein. What the fuck.
he is half-asian, that's a fact. he is also half-white. BUT he's a white passing individual. you can't deny the privileges handed down to him.
soooo it’s equally valid to call him Asian as it is to call him white? yes? And he’s far from white passing? The dude is clearly ethnic. But the semantics of how white he has to look for him to have white privilege is superficial. He can still be racist and Asian. He can still take advantage of WoC and abuse his power and Asian. And as bad as it sounds, i think maybe the lack of labeling him as “Asian” stems from the complete dissociation between Asian men and sex, even horrendous sexual crimes like this (everytime an Asian does anything else, he’s labeled for being Asian...). Imagine the headline “Asian Cop Rapes 12 Black Women”...
Daniel Holtzclaw is Asian
I don't know why people are saying he's abusing his white privilege or some shit. He's Asian. Doesn't mean he didn't abuse his power, but still.
PSA to people saying the whole iPhone vs Android isn’t classists
It is. It literally is. Lets list a few reasons why.
iPhones are marketed to upper class people
Every celebrity you see will most likely have an iPhone
Major sponsor of the iPhone is AT&T a very expensive phone company
If you need more evidence I worked as a customer service rep. for the phone company Verizon for a few months after the release of both the iPhone 6/6 Plus and the Samsung Galaxy S5. I got many calls about upgrading their phones, and asking of course about prices of the newest phones. One question I got a lot was “Why is the iPhone 300 dollars while the Galaxy is 100 - Free for a Thanksgiving promotion.” Curious about it myself, I asked a supervisor. Why? Why didn’t we have any discounts on what basically is the hottest phone to be released besides the Galaxy? Here was the answer I got: “Apple believes they shouldn’t have to discount it. That their product is worth the full amount you pay.” Meaning if phone companies didn’t already discount your phone when you upgrade, Apple would be charging all of you 800+ dollars for that iPhone. Apple does not care about poor people, Apple just wants money and you’re android jokes are feeding into them. Not to mention making people feel shitty for NOT owning an overly expensive phone. (Please note: I know there are ways to get iPhones cheap. But most of the time its someone selling it themselves or its a third party that is not a phone company. Unless APPLE IS GIVING THE DISCOUNT ITS STILL CLASSIST. I will not answer messages regarding that.)
Reblogging cause I still see people reblogging jokes about how yall would never stoop so low to get an android 😒
And iPhone is the real joke.
“expensive” = “classist” now apparently haha
it’s worth the price people are willing to pay for
