7 badass athletes to honor on National Womenās Health and Fitness DayĀ
Iām not interested in sports, and neither are my friends. But they keep talking about how hot the boys who play are, and I just donāt get it. If youāre not interested in the sport, why would you find the athletes so attractive? *lays eyes on Brittney Griner for the first time* Ah.Ā
What is gay privilege?
better sex
When penises appear on your dash:
I love this because it applies to both gay men and gay women for completely opposite reasons.
You made it better
Straight people: there are so many gay characters now, itās starting to get annoying.
we, the gay: WHERE ARE THEY?
If youāre ever asked by a straight person who is your celebrity crush but youāre not out and your brain decides to take a vacation on lesbian island and you canāt come up with the name of a single man that was ever famous just say Chris. The other person will immediately say the Chris of their choice amongst the 50 that are famous and you just agree with them.
this is so specific but.. so relevant?
when a fellow lesbian makes a stereotype joke:
when a straight:

itās still 2008 where it matters, in their hearts
this feels a lot more 2003 than 2008
did i ever tell ppl about the time me and my family thought my older brother was gay and dating his best friend? they used to hold hands and cuddle and shit all the time and cause my brothers super quiet we kinda just thought that was him coming out and didnāt really say anything about it. this went on for maybe two yrs and then one day he arrives home with this girl and is all āid like you guys to meet my girlfriendā. at this point everyone is ā????ā and my mom is literally crying and like āu broke up with James?!?!?!ā and honestly Iāve never seen a man more confused in his life and yeah thatās the time my family fucked up for like 2 yrs
high school musical 2s āI dont danceā is a metaphor for homosexuality/bisexuality and hereās why:
in the song, dancing (stereotypically associated with women and gay men) represents same-gender attraction and the moreĀ āmasculineā sport, baseball, represents heterosexuality. Ryan tells chadĀ āIāll show you that itās one and the sameā - that being gay is as valid as being straight, and that it is nothing to be ashamed of. ryan is clearly proud of being able to dance
Ryan encourages chad to āswing like himā, bearing in mind ryan is strongly implied to be gay and the word swing is often used with regards to sexuality, ieĀ āI donāt swing that wayā
Chad displays a stereotypical masculine bravado, he is clearly trying to impress Ryan, he tells him āIāve got what it takes⦠so you better spin that pitch youāre gonna throw meā, while reasserting his definite heterosexuality, he addsĀ āIāll show you how I swingā
Chad also implies that he experiences gay feelings but represses them. When ryan tells himĀ āYouāll never know if you never tryā, chad repliesĀ āthereās just one thing that stops me every timeā. this shows his fear of social rejection and his own internalised homophobia
as the song progresses this becomes more obvious, chad goes from saying heĀ ādoesnātā dance to saying heĀ ācanātā even though it is clear that he is actually a good dancer while also being skilled at baseball
from this we can guess that chad is bisexual and that ryan is either bisexual or gay, though we can assume his preference lies with men at this point
on top of this there is the obvious underlying sexual tension running throughout the song. they switch between confrontational and flirty; thereās a lot of smiling and eyebrow waggling going on, and when they do dance they get all up in each others personal space
the song ends with ryan falling on top of chad. in the following scene, they are wearing each otherās clothes
