(DigiOTPWeek’s day 7 prompt, Promises + Future)

It occurred to me after 500 years of waiting for the 02 kids to pop up in Tri promotional materials that Iori will never be able to attend school with Miyako at the same time after 2002, and he’d really only get to school with Daisuke/Hikari/Takeru for his 1st year in middle/high school. Iori’s probably not a kid with many friends his age being the way he is, and despite the fact that he and Miyako live in the same building I still doubt they’d get to see each other very often. 

As Miyako is probably one of his closest and oldest friends, I’d think he’d miss her a lot. Miyako (I’d hope) is extremely fond of him, and would miss his seriousness playing off her more impulsive personality. So here’s the two of them promising each other to not drift apart, despite the many years to come.
