I’m not sure what it was about this spillage on the stove top. It was actually just some juice that had come out of whatever had been cooked that day. Possibly it was meat. Possibly it wasn’t. Either way to me it looked like a splash of blood across the hobs and made me think of it as a scene from a slasher film. Perhaps a cannibal killer had been roasting their latest victim for Sunday lunch?
