Alright! Since I’m trying to settle back into Kanon’s muse, here’s a short non-ball starter call! I might eventually put up a separate one for the ball, but I’m not sure yet. Capping at THREE for now.

Music Soothes the Savage Beast
The beast tucked it’s head between arms to avoid her gaze… “Everything…” the voice whispered, “Everything hurts…” the beast made a chuffing sound, as if trying to not cry… “Memories… Feeding… Existing… It all… breaks…” a claw rubbed his head, “Breaks… mind…”
Merkava looked up at her, purple tears dripped from his eyes, “Want to forget… No one… understands…” his head bowed a little, “No one… understands… me…” the voice trailed off then as the creature’s head lowered back down onto it’s knees.
For several long and awkward seconds, Kanon stared at the beast that was evidently in a great deal of emotional despair. She did want to help, but had no idea just how to do so. Most of the sorrows regular humors bore already tended to be a pretty foreign topic to her, much less that of something like... this.
“I want to understand,” Momentarily she rubbed the back of her head. “But I’m finding it difficult to.” A pause, her head cocking to the side ever so slightly. “But if you want, you can talk about it? I’m all ears. Or... We could do something else to, you know, get your mind off it maybe?”
“I see. It’s odd but I miss those dorky brothers of mine. I hope they are doing ok without me.” Bree admitted. “I’m glad you don’t get lonely and have met people. I haven’t really had the courage to approach anyone..” She moved her hand to the back of her neck to check on her chip. She was unsure how long she could surpass the glitch. “Random question but would you happen to know where there is a person skilled in science and robotics?” She asked casually hoping Kanon would not suspect anything.
“Approaching people here is pretty easy. Most of them are pretty open to have a little chat from what I’ve seen. Just look out for anyone dangerous and you should be fine!”
“Oh! Knowledge in robotics? The first one that comes to mind is a man named Tadashi.” She gestured to her right eye. “He helped me out when I broke my eye.”
“Canon..your name is "Canon..” Bree just at that moment realized. She was able to speed anywhere when her speed was unlocked and had been to Japan on some occasions. “Don’t worry about it. Pretty cool name.” Bree waved her sheepishness off. “ A month and you get a phone. Alright they have convinced me to stay I guess.” Bree badly wanted a phone so she could do all the phone stuff she did back home. “Doesn’t it get lonely. I mean for me I was tossed here without my brothers …sorry rambling..” She looked a bit embarassed.
Not like Kanon could really tell she was actually getting the spelling of her name wrong.
“I’m... fairly sure you can’t just walk out of the city, even if you wanted to.” Quite frankly, thinking about it, Kanon had never really tried to walk out. Though chances are it wouldn’t work anyways.
“Lonely? Not really. But that might just be me.” She didn’t really get “lonely” very easily. “There’s a lot of different people here for you to meet and talk with.”
Music Soothes the Savage Beast
The beast was initially confused, but the voice replied, “I am… Unharmed…” it turned away from the girl and clutched a claw to it’s chest… “But still… It hurts…” the creature bowed it’s head, “Perhaps… I should leave… Would prefer not to… concern you…”
Merkava sat on the ground then, curling his long limbs around himself, as if to reassure himself somehow… He waited for a reply, assuming he’d be asked to leave…
“Oh! No, it’s okay!” In response to Merkava turning away from her, Kanon promptly walked over and around as to get a view of him from the front again. “I mean, usually when things hit the ground that hard they... You know, break somehow.” She got pretty close to the beast too, standing right in front of him.
“What hurts?”

Bree smiled at Kanon. “Kanon. That’s a name I’ve never heard before. Well at school we are graded by the letters a to f. I’m a decent student. Yeah come to think of it the ranks are nothing like a classroom.” She realized..“So Kanon how long have you been here?” She wondered. Bree was also curious how long you actually had to be here to get cell phone rights.
“You haven’t? It’s a Japanese name-- Oh! And it’s spelled with a “K”, not a “C” like, you know, the English word for one of those big weapon things.” Kanon offered her a brief, vaguely sheepish smile before continuing. “A little over a month. It seems like you get smartphone access after you’ve been here for that long.”
A Unexpected Reunion
“No I have not been to this part of the city since all I have been doing is well actually getting myself lost..” Anon admitted uneasily. “Don’t worry I ran into people who helped me out. I just wish I could actually read a map.” She deadpanned in disappointment. “Anyway of course I would like bread .
She heard Kanon mention money and sighed. "I know. I don’t have any money either.” She admitted. “It’s not like the scientists will just up and give us free money. Then how are we going to eat?” She asked.
Well... She did have a good point. Kanon stared at her sister for a few moments before blinking once, then cocking her head to the side ever slightly as if she just had a realization.
“Uh... Good point! I bet we’ll think of something. In the worst case scenario, we can just head back to one of our places and rest up there. Where are you housed?” Hopefully wherever her twin was housed, it was in a direction that the trains would be able to quickly take them in.
Music Soothes the Savage Beast
The beast pondered a moment on how to explain it best… “I… We… All voids used to be… More…” Merkava was struggling to remember the words the voice now spoke… “We were In-Birth… But we failed… Could not become Re-Birth… Cost us… Everything…” he motioned to himself, “A monster… of singular purpose… All that remains… void of all things… that once made them… them…” The beast clutch it’s head as if in pain… “Should not… remember this… Pain… Regret…”
The beast reared back, bending it’s spine in an abnormal way, then surged back forward, slamming it’s head into the concrete next to the bench, causing it to crack and splinter… As the beast rose back up, it shook it’s head, “No more… Memories…” the voice pleaded, “I am… what I am now… Nothing more…” Realizing he missed her other question he added, “Size and all… Indeed…”
Merkava’s words and explanation were fragmented, and Kanon could only vaguely grasp the reason he was giving. He did seem to say there were more -- Perhaps here were more like him in the city? She wasn’t sure.
What startled her though was Merkava suddenly rearing back, seeming to bend in a way that she didn’t usually see as possible. When he slammed his head down she instinctively took a few steps back in the opposite direction, her eyes widening in what looked to be surprise, though it was actually her frantically trying to assess the situation.
When he rose back up and spoke again, her gaze shifted back to him and she seemed to loosen up.
“Uh, and... Didn’t that hurt you? It looks like you broke the ground pretty good.”

.technical difficulties
He let out a small chuckle. “I can imagine. This city’s pretty huge. I’m surprised you were even able to find me like this.”
Upon her explanation, Tadashi listened carefully to what she had to say. Now that her damaged eye was put into view, his hypothesis was correct: she was an android. He was excited – no elated to work on something this advanced! There was still a little worry in the back of his head, however: he could only hope what she had broken was something he was familiar with. If she was that avant-garde, he may not be able to fix it as easily, or even at all. Regardless, Tadashi tried to keep positive. He could take this as a learning experience! Tech came and went; repairing her eye couldn’t be that difficult, could it?
He had to appreciate her straight-forwardness. It made these situations so much easier. “Ah, I see.” He lowered himself to get a better look, though it didn’t do much good. “Hold on– may I?”
The eldest Hamada cupped the girl’s face between his palms, angling her head so he could see her eye better. Hopefully it wasn’t too close for comfort for her, and if it was, he would gladly back away. “I… I think I see what’s wrong. This shouldn’t be too hard to repair. If you want, you can come back with me to my place and I can fix you up there.” Wait, that was kind of a sketchy sentence. “Otherwise if you wait here, I can bring my tools over and we’ll work from there.” Much better.
Kanon held still, allowing the taller fellow to angle her head right to get a good look at the problem. Her smile faded, but returned quickly after he said he'd be able to fix it.
"Wherever is easiest for you is fine with me." Though, logically... "I think going to your place would be the easiest? You know, less walking back and forth for you." Regardless, knowing he'd be able to fix it was indeed good news, especially given how prohibited she was without sight in one eye
Music Soothes the Savage Beast
The creature nodded at her… “Yes… A void… Nothing… Just a beast… My only purpose to consume…” the voice droned on quietly in the girl’s head, “But… I have regained… Pieces… Of what I’ve lost… Feelings…”
The beast paused then… Using his pause the girl spoke once more and told her name, “Kanon… Yes… nice to meet you….” said the voice. Though Merkava realized something after he said that, and backed away slightly… “Forgive me… Kanon… I forget my… manners… often…” it seemed the void was trying to apologize for his proximity during their conversation, “Apologies…”
"But," Nothing. That still didn't sound right, even with the underlying purpose to... consume? Perhaps she was taking the meaning a little too literally, but how could one be nothing when they were clearly there? "Why are you called a nothing, then? You're here right now in front me! You're... something."
"Oh!" Kanon blinked, watching as Merkava took a second to back away a bit and apologize. "It's alright. I don't mind too much. When you're that size, it must be pretty tough not to get too close to people."
A Unexpected Reunion
“I would never wait until the last possible second sis.” Anon replied letting go of her arm. She followed her sister’s gaze. “I don’t mind where we eat as long as it has bread.” Anon smiled at the thought.
“This place seems amazing tho. I’ve never been around this part of town.” She was slightly excited at the opportunity to explore. "Let’s go on a adventure then!“ She exclaimed.
Kanon shook her head. The priority right now was making sure Anon had enough energy in her to actually function.
"No, Anon, we should focus on getting you some food first-- Bread, of course! Then after that if you really want to explore, I'm alright with it."
She led her away from the train station and more towards the core of the sector, where the shops and restaurants were abundant. "You've never been here before? You're missing out on some really nice looking bakeries then!" There was a pause, Kanon then shooting Anon something that vaguely resembled a sheepish look. "But I've been to very few of them myself because, you know... There's the issue of paying."
