Hi, this is an illustrated story I've been working on, inspired by maritime mysteries from the past. Cheers!
BETON PRIME 6531
Hi, this is a cover I've done for my 3D sci-fi building kit! Inspired by brutalism in architecture, I imagined it as backdrop of a post-soviet futuristic totalitarian society, located somewhere in the wastelands of a dying world called Beton Prime. Hope you like it ( not that future ofc ).
Temple Cave
The Ritual
"He is here, in the cave, with his demons. Network system is corrupted with malware and indecipherable riddles and only God knows what has happened to Alfred. I allowed rage to blur my focus. The shadows are my only chance now. They can't find me there. In the shadows, they will learn true despair. Must not get careless. Must not make wrong moves. No more mistakes, too much is at stake..." I was so hyped about the new Batman film, that I had to ease the wait by creating artwork inspired by it! Done in between jobs, whenever I got the time. Scene was made in Blender and rendered using Eevee, with further touch-ups in Photoshop. I hope it oozes dread and mystery, so masterfully achieved by the films cinematography.
"Lo, there do I see my father. Lo, there do I see my mother. And my sisters and my brothers Lo, there do I see the line of my people Back to the beginning. Lo, they do call to me. They bid me take my place among them In the halls of Valhalla Where the brave may live forever..."
This piece was inspired by the feeling I had while watching a movie called 13th Warrior, by John McTiernan and Michael Crichton. It depicts aftermath of a viking battle, the sour morning darkened with shadows of death and souls of the fallen warriors. Amidst of it all, lone king rest on his makeshift throne, ferociously standing ground, with eyes fixed on dangerous horizons...
Modeled and rendered in Blender using Cycles, Post in Photoshop.
[ BAGHDAD 2091 ] My latest artwork, inspired by Jurassic Park and Middle Eastern slums and created during the last week. Through methods of genetic engineering, western military achieved to create ancient dinosaurs. With the use of unethical mind alterations they designed loyal animals of war, obedient as German shepherds, but ferocious as their Cretaceous cousins. "Peace" is being secured with means of terror and intimidation, in cities that were damaged by war, war that peace keepers engineered in the first place. Better res in bio!
[ Cairo Bistro ]
Quickie done over the course of last couple of days, Blender render in Eevee overpainted with Photoshop.
This is an entrance to Gotham Zoo, it's heavily inspired by Budapest Zoo, which is by itself already Gotham-ish ( at least in my mind anyway ). I imagined it as a mix of architectural western styles from the late 19th to early 20th century, with a dash of theme park design. Hope it conveys a feeling I've had when this idea came to mind. Cheers!
[ Gotham Fair ]
This is the main entrance to a theme park from a project I'm working on. It depicts a Gotham City landmark, decaying under the pressure of corruption, neglect and forgotten promises of a bright future that never came. Much more from the inside to come soon!
In ancient times, there was legend of a cave, hidden deep under the Mount Olympus. Cave housed a dimensional portal, older than time itself. One day, God Of Thunder felt a disturbance in the electrical fields coming from the depths....
[ Shinjuku Rooftops ] Hi, this is my new artwork, it depicts soon-to-be showdown on the top of the high rise skyscraper, somewhere in the futuristic Tokyo. In a bleak dystopia, ridden with public gang wars, rich crime bosses are able to afford military prototypes, but that doesn't cut it when you're confronted by an elite police force. Human genetics are being hacked on the selected enforcers, enabling them to unlock otherworldly potentials deeply hidden within DNA algorithm. I had a blast working on this, it took a lot of personal time, but it made me try to incorporate Blender into my workflow, so I learned a lot, and also got to create assets that can be used in future projects. Mechas are clearly inspired by REX from MGS, but also with ED 209 from Robocop. The rest of the characters and this setting are a product of my memories from playing ONI, very old Bungie game.
Forest Quest
This scene was inspired by an episode of Batman: The Animated Series called Laughing Fish, in which The Joker poisons sea fish in Gotham, for his own twisted schemes. I used references from the concept art related to Batman and harbor environments in general.
