Billie almost smirked as she brought up the glass to her lips and took another drink. She’d had her share of whiskey: and even the worst Serkonian whiskey was better than any other she’d had. 

“So how long have you been out here on  this rock?”

  Carson set the glass back down on the table, wanting another. But he knew nothing good would come out of it. Sure it had been decades since breaking his alcoholism. One was enough. “Lost track... Feels like forever.”

  Carson wanted to believe Dan but he just couldn’t. He didn’t understand why Emma seemed to like him so much. Especially in the state, he’s in. Carson was broken beyond repair. He knew the rumors about himself, and those rumors only encouraged him to think like that. “If you say so...”

“Yes, but that’s because we knew each  other a long time ago. We were at a party.  Back in high school. And um, you kissed  me. We were friends then.”

She decided she wanted to be honest with him- especially since she’d given him this moment of clarity. He’d really meant a lot to her- she just didn’t feel right lying to him.

  Carson was trying to think back but he honestly couldn't remember that far. He should remember that it was high school after all. Any normal person could. Besides how dumb would he seem to her? That he can't remember anything.

  But oh he could remember that ambush well enough. As if it happened yesterday. He slammed the shovel into the ground out of frustration, digging randomly. A few beats pass as he dug his hole. "I can't remember anything." He mumbled, hoping she didn't hear him because he felt so ashamed and stupid.

HUGE pet peeve of mine, I see it a lot in TV shows. The troops are walking quietly toward their objective. The leader holds up his hand in the halt signal and then

“THE ENEMIES ARE OVER THERE GUISE”

NO

The whole point of these hand signals is to be silent so the close range enemies you’re about to engage DON’T HEAR YOU GIVING COMMANDS

though why I’m still expecting sense out of tv shows I don’t even know

Calmly, Emma looked up into Carson’s eyes as she removed the handkerchief. It didn’t take a psychic to see that he’d been through hell; that he was still stuck in it. It didn’t take a psychic to see he’d been hurt.

 “Because- I care about you. And- perhaps   I’m curious if you uh, dream about that kiss   too..?”

  Carson froze when she mentioned the kiss. He never told her about a kiss so how did she even know about that? Let alone having the same dream as her. He blinked in confusion, this was all too weird. There was no way that they had the same dreams.

     “Are you saying that we’ve had the same dream?”
