sometimes I think about how I used to really ship sean/alex from nikita (and still do!) they were on opposite sides and v much like michael/nikita in that way and I am so glad that they had something. watching sean die hurt me more than almost any other character death of a show I was so invested in.

dillon casey’s relationship with his fellow cast members felt off at times. they seemed to like each other well enough, but there were some jabs on Twitter that felt weird to me, particularly some at devon sawa which I chalked up to dillon being written off the show and being jealous over alex getting a new love interest. I didn’t like the fact that alex was moving on so fast, but I didn’t take it out on the show, I simply stopped watching.

after nikita, dillon kind of disappeared off the radar, besides some small roles here and there. I was so convinced that he was going to make it, but he just stepped out of the limelight.

then in 2019 he revealed that he was battling a drug addiction for years, and was even taking during the time he shot nikita. he talked about having burned a lot of bridges while he was sinking deeper into a depression and suddenly everything I felt weird about years ago started to make sense to me.

I’m glad that lyndsy found love thanks to nikita and she’s living that family life now, but being a sean/alex supporter still after all these years, I could never stop wondering how dillon’s been since his departure. I was shocked to hear the truth, but so glad that he’s doing better now and I hope he finds what he needs to stay on the right path. also, I was glad to see him working again with maggie q in 2018. maybe he didn’t permanently burn bridges down after all...
