After taking another large gulp from the vodka soda, Fred handed it back to the person across from him. It was the beauty of an open floor, getting free drinks from everyone, or perhaps it was just his familiarity with the scene. Regardless, when he went back to dancing this time, it was with a newfound looseness. He’d made his rounds earlier, spying out the familiar, Saturday night faces, and had long since determined that his options were slim that night. But, that wasn’t going to stop him from having fun still. He allowed himself to get back into the music, hips swaying and head tilting back to face the lights, when he felt someone step behind him. Their hair tickled at the back of his neck as they slotted themself against him, timing into the rhythm of his own movements. With his head already leaned, it only took opening his eyes and craning his neck to get a look at their, or, his, face. “Hi,” he breathed out over the music, swirling his hips a little bit more purposefully.

Dimitri usually went to clubs when he felt like he needed an extra high in his life—and he’d use and take whatever he could to have a good time. Although tonight he just found himself drinking, and he was really getting into the groove of everything. He was moving with the music, and when his eyes landed on a pretty face in the crowd he decided to shoot his shot and get close behind him. He danced against him as the music played around them, and Dimitri grinned as the guy looked at him, danced against him. “Hey there,” he breathed out and moved his body against theirs to the music, getting lost in the motions, “think I can buy you a drink soon, I’ll buy you anything you want—my treat,” he whispered near his ear, winking even though he was sure the guy wouldn’t see, and he felt his heart race.
