Magic The Gathering
Don't you wish Magic The Gathering ACTUALLY played like this?
Commercial done for an MTG card trading store, FiveColorMana.
Retro: Hyperkin Portal SNES
There have been extemporaneous portal SNES solutions before, but this one has been pre-manufactured for your playing pleasure. Though the battery life isn't great (2.5 hours of playtime,) it can also act as a home console for your Super Nintendo games. Might be worth it for someone who got rid of their SNES a while ago and is looking for a suitable replacement for it.
Check it out at Hyperkin's website!
Minecraft: Arabian City, Epic Time Lapse Build
Check out this awesome effort these guys put in to create this huge city.
Kinda makes you want to amass a team and spend days on end in creative mode doesn't it?

Minecraft: Notch Steps Down
Sad news, Minecraft fans: The developer/guru/god of the game, Markus “Notch” Persson has stepped down as the head of the game, in order to rest "for a while" then start work on new projects. Jens Bergensten is now the new lead developer on Minecraft.
In a blog post earlier today, Notch wrote:
As of yesterday, Jens Bergensten is the new lead developer on Minecraft. He will have the final say in all design decisions, so he will kinda sorta become my boss, I guess. I’ve promised him to not pull rank. ;) We’ve been working together on Minecraft for a year now, and I’m amazed at how much in synch we two are when it comes to how to design the game. And when we don’t agree, we discuss it and something much better comes out at a result. He’s truly a great person to work with, and I feel very confident handing over the leadership of Minecraft to him. If you want to contact Jens, he’s on twitter as @jeb_, or you can email him at [email protected] Personally, I will now rest for a while, then get back to work refreshed and eager. I’ll be helping out with Minecraft, of course, but also starting work on some new project.
It makes sense: The game is technically "finished," and Notch owes the world nothing, but still, let's hope that Minecraft's coming updates keep the game as amazing as it always was under Notch's direction. Also: How cool is it that he'll be making something new. Can lightning strike twice? Stay tuned to find out!
We'll obviously keep you updated with all Notch and Minecraft goings-on, so keep reading.

Here's the Razer Hydra, Razer's motion control peripheral, playing through Skyrim.
It's apparently possible to play Skyrim with the Hydra via downloadable software (MotionCreator Engine).

Published Media: GamePro to stop publication
GamePro, we reported exclusively back in July, shifted its strategy to become a quarterly publication. That experiment sadly did not work too well, as we've now learned that the November quarterly issue will be the last one ever, and the GamePro website will be shuttered as well (as of December 5). An IDG spokesman told IndustryGamers that the ad dollars just weren't there, and unfortunately layoffs of staff are being implemented - the spokesman declined to tell us how many were being let go.
GamePro started as a monthly magazine in May 1989 and first appeared online in May 1996. It was one of the top read magazines of its time, along with Electronic Gaming Monthly. The print business just isn't what it used to be these days, however.
With the magazine and website business no longer running, GamePro Media is "refocusing its US business exclusively on its growing custom publishing and solutions business." This decision was made by Mike Kisseberth, who heads up IDG's Consumer and Small Business media group, which includes PCWorld, Macworld, and GamePro Media. GamePro Custom Solutions will be led by current GamePro President, Marci Yamaguchi Hughes.
So what does this entail? Basically, it means GamePro will work on creating custom content for vendors and events, like last E3's daily publication. As for an editorial team, it would appear that PCWorld in the US will be the focus going forward.
"Fans of GamePro online will be able to access the latest games news, reviews, and 'how-tos' from the PCWorld editorial team. Visitors to gamepro.com will be redirected to the PCWorld GamePro channel on pcworld.com," the company stated.
“The U.S. editorial and business staff worked hard to earn a passionate, loyal following for GamePro and I am grateful for their dedication and hard work over the years,” said Kisseberth. “GamePro, like all businesses, must keep up with industry changes and economic realities. Marci and her colleagues have tremendous expertise in the games arena, and now they will be putting that knowledge to work for the brands that gamers love. Look for GamePro Custom Solutions to be blazing new trails in online branding for the game industry, providing gamers with deeper, richer interactions with the companies and titles they most want to know about.”

Assassin’s Creed Recollection - Teaser (by Ubisoft)
Assassin’s Creed Recollection is a new iPad real-time board game from the Ubisoft Montreal studio that will allow players to live an entirely new experience in the world of Assassin’s Creed. Fans of the franchise will be able to discover and amass a wide variety of artwork created for the Assassin’s Creed games. They’ll also be able to compete in political battles in a real-time board game with key characters and locations from the games.
That's right, Dragon Age is going multiplayer. The role-playing franchise is, according to an insider, going beyond singleplayer for the first time, and warriors won't simply face off against each other in combat.
People are quick to judge and slow to correct themselves.
