happy birthday kavinsky

you would’ve been 51 today.

i had heard nightcall in my teenage years, but i wasn’t actively a fan until 2019. deadcruiser reminds me of a time i went to disney and fell in love with space mountain all over again and i started imagining space voyages to the song.

the thing that drew me into kavinsky the most was not only the music, the story of his character along with it. i was always wanting to learn more about this Kavinsky character.

i was so happy during reborn. i was anticipating more of this world he made and how his music amplified everything. and all the friends i had met during this time is irreplaceable.

and seeing and meeting him live at CRSSD was one of the coolest nights ever. i wish i had told him how much of what he makes really got my own creativity going. i wish he knew more how impactful he IS all around the world. thank you for bringing us together with your creations. my heart is very heavy.

Totally normal for a legitimate for-profit company to refuse to reclaim or stop running their products even after they're no longer being paid to do so. I'm sure it's very normal to just keep running your service for free when your contract's been terminated. Spending money to continue running cameras that supposedly no one is looking at is definitely not an indicator they are just run by the federal government to spy on everyone and only a wacko conspiracy theorist would think so.
