When I was a kid, I found Plushtrap so cute and searched desperately over months for reader-insert fics with him. There were barely any, but I remember a rare find in this huge oneshot book where he was given to the reader as a birthday present. The kid was super-affectionate with him and carried him around everywhere until the day some other kids damaged him as a prank.

The reader went home crying because they thought of the toy as their best friend. The next day, the bullies were dead (it was unclear how), and Plushtrap later revealed his sapience to the reader when they were alone in their room and worried about the deaths.

I remember wanting one where you got to kiss Plushtrap or at least have him nip at you because if I ever found a real-life plush of him, that's what I would do.
