Qrow nods, “ I know... and I can understand that... but I’m afraid he might... neglect the girls... not full on, but just... one day he is in some sort of mindset and...” He sighs, “Yang... she’s trying to find out about her mother... and of course Tai doesn’t want to tell her anything... I’m just worried she might... try to find her... And knowing Raven, it wont lead her to a safe place...” He looked out the nearby window, “I appreciate you letting me talk... It lets me get this shit off of my chest.”

The other’s comment made him chuckle in return. “I don’t know about that. My hair isn’t as long as it used to be.”

As Qrow talks about his recovery, OZ stayed quiet and gave a smile and a nod of approval. “That’s good, I’m proud of you, Qrow.” He took a sip of his drink, looking up at Qrow with a raised eyebrow at his last comment. “Oh? Nothing else? You must have come straight here and not to visit Tai and the girls. There always seems to be something going on with them.”

“Oh yea, you did have long hair, huh?” He chuckles again, then sighs at the others comment about Tai and the girls. “I... hmmm... I want to be there for the girls, but it’s just... hard to talk to Tai... he doesn’t want to talk about the past... and I do... and things feel weird between us. It’s not.... easy.” He sighs and looks at his tea cup, just staring into it for a while.

The man chuckled as Qrow flew right over to the chair. He moved to join him at the desk. “I wasn’t, don’t worry. It’s good to see you in high spirits. You’re more then welcome, I’m glad you enjoy it so much.”

He sat in his chair, taking his own mug and took a sip from it before he continued “So, how have you been lately? What have I missed out on while stuck up here in my tower?”

He chuckled, “Stuck up in your tower, huh? I’ll ask you to let down your hair next time I visit.” He sipped his tea again. “To think I’d become a tea drinker after all these years... Raven would tease me to high heaven.”

He looks up from his cup to the other before him. “I’m alright. I’ve been getting better about my urges...” his urges being the ever so slight need to taste alcohol again, “But it gets less and less every time I come see you, so that’s good. Not much else to report, I’m afraid.”

Oz had been looking forward to today. His meeting with Qrow were always a nice break from the monotony of his work. Mixed in between various tasks the headmaster had to complete, he come some preparation done for Qrow’s arrival. Upon hearing the tapping at his window, Oz turned his attention away from his work and smiled at he saw his visit. Smiling as he went over to open the window.

“Why, hello there. Come in. I was waiting for you.” He steps out of Qrow to fly in. On the desk there were two mugs sitting there, filled with preferred drinks of the two.

Qrow flew in and landed on the chair, turning into a human once he did. He still looked like his usual self, but there was a touch of life that seemed to have come to him since stopping his binge drinking. “Hope you weren’t waiting long, Oz.”

He grabs the mug closes to him and takes a sip, smiling as the warm tea he had slowly come accustomed to drinking slid down his throat. “This always tastes so good after a long trip. Thanks, Oz.”

After seeing some of the guys in the Branwen Tribe, I imagine he is also of the longer haired men’s group as he grows up. He also hated his uniform. so he never wore it right willingly. If you ever saw him in it, Summer probably did it for him. And if you ask, he never lost his jacket, no matter what you say, he never lost it...
