Cheshire Tournament: Violet vs. Robin

“Alright, time for another match! This time we have Violet Goodfellow vs. Robin Ironwood. Auroras, thoughts?”

“Both of our competitors have notable family in the field- and both still have that shadow looming over them. However, Ms. Ironwood is a graduated professional. This is going to put the young Ms. Goodfellow at quite a disadvantage.”

“Did they really have to say that out loud...?” Violet already knew what she was up against and had to calm her nerves. This was no time to do anything embarrassing. She knew she was very likely going to lose, but she was determined to put up the best fight she possibly could. “It’s okay, Vi... You survived a lot worse than this.”

Merlo VS Zeke - Cheshire Charity Tournament

Merlo arrived into the arena, she didn’t know who this Zeke Striker was, but she couldn’t let that or her nerves get the better of her in this battle, for now, she had to hope her family-based training was enough to do well at least in her fight with this stranger.

“👀” -Team ORGK [Ozpin] (duh XD)

“Did you know?” She starts, a rare and soft smile gracing her lips, “I have always been incredibly fond of your fringe.” To clarify, the huntress sinks one hand into the hair on the nape of his neck, walking slender digits up along his scalp until she dared to gently grasp the hair on the back of his head. The soft, slight spiked strands escaped between her fingers, messed even further from where the countered pieces met and fringed. 

Her other arm slowly snakes up his arm, finally coming to rest in the crook of his neck. “Your shoulders...cut the most striking figure.” Broad and strong, much like the rest of him. “Enough to drive a girl wild.”

“-And of course your eyes.” She breathes softer, cupping his face so as to gaze into honeyed amber. “Even from the first they struck me with your kindness, your intelligence shines so clearly in them.”

It had been a few months now since the man had gone to see Ozpin about helping him break the habit of drinking. He was doing a lot better, but they both agreed that he would show up and they would talk about his recovery. Those meetings seem to devolve into asking how the other had been, mostly small talk. Oz tells Qrow about things at Beacon, and Qrow tells Oz about the girls, Ruby and Yang.

This meeting was probably going to go like all the others, but that made Qrow smile slightly. He decided to go his usual route to Ozpin’s office, and flew up to the window and tapped on it to get the busy headmaster’s attention.

      “Ah, Miss Goodwitch.  Now, what does bring a lovely lady such as yourself to a place like this?”

         He’d be lying - which, to be fair, he did quite a lot - if he said the woman’s presence was not extremely unnerving.  That his current operation had been found by any huntsman was unnerving, and he and Neo would have to figure out how that had happened.  But, that was a job for later, when they weren’t currently facing down the kind of huntress who could land them in some boiling water levels of trouble.

Someone who had known the General since they were kids... Well this was suddenly extremely awkward. It was almost a worst nightmare of sorts. The only way this could be worse was if he had made a fool of himself in front of Ironwood himself. He’d never be able to live that down.

“Well, I don’t know about attractive. He certainly has a... rather prominent jawline. And piercing blue eyes. And that silver in his hair that tells of experience. And he’s built like a brick wall. You know, if you’re into that sort of thing.” Renatus cleared his throat, trying very hard not to seem as flustered as he actually was. “I simply... appreciate the role he plays on the world stage, and the innovations he’s made. He’s a... role model, of sorts.”

You know, it's always so weird to me seeing someone have a crush on ol' Tinny Jimmy. Like it doesn't compute in my brain - ([Team-ORGK] - Robin)

“Haha, what? I don’t- You’re silly. You’re being silly. I don’t have a- I mean, come now, how inappropriate. Now, do I respect the work that General Ironwood does? Of course I do! Do I like the cut of his jib? Naturally! But a crush? Well I’m sure lots of people do, I mean look at him, but I’m certainly not... Who are you anyway?”

"You know, Jinn.. I genuinely would set you free if I had the chance to..." - TEAM ORGK (Ozpin)

“I know... But it isn’t up to either of us.” Jinn sighed, glancing up towards the sky. “The only ones who could set me free are the ones who gave you your mission to begin with. And I am not going to gather the relics and potentially doom the world simply because I desire my freedom. I am not like Salem.”
