          The wind gently brushed strands of dark brown hair against the archer’s face as he swiftly made his way over the rooftops, placing one foot in front of the other, though he never once bothered to look down, only straight ahead. One would think he’d slip, given that rooftops aren’t really the smoothest of surfaces to run over — however, the male was used to this, it was basically his job to operate above everyone’s heads. And he’d be doing so again, on this day.

          Through fellow assassin Henry Green, he’d come to know about Miss Evie Frye, also an assassin, and one who was — just like the archer — interested in helping the brotherhood locate and obtain the Pieces of Eden. He did not hesitate to contact her then, as he heard of her magnificent stealth skills (through Henry) and thought it would be a perfect addition to his archery.

          He wasn’t even surprised to find her waiting, and took the opportunity to sneak up from behind, placing a light tap on her shoulder before walking around to eye her. “So, you are Miss Evie Frye?”, he asked, a grin coming to his face as he pushed his hood off. “Forgive my lateness, I’m Kilian Hunter, Kili for short. At your service!”

To say that one may have managed to sneak up on her would have been an overstatement... if she hadn’t be so caught up in a daze of a supposed bliss of nature’s love. At the moment of a stranger’s quick touch on her shoulder, Evie’s head snapped towards its initial direction and found herself facing a man to whom she was assuming was her ‘contact’. He was amiable, a word to which was immediate to come in mind in judgement of his introduction. With the grin on his features and enthusiasm (she thought of it rather enthusiastic, after all) in his words, Evie was reminded of a man she knew, though a name and face was out of reach. Nevertheless, the woman returned with a smile of her own and a slight bow of her head.

“Fortunately, you aren’t that late, and the weather’s perfect, so I can’t quite complain about waiting,” A casual comment off the bat -- a good mood she was in, surprisingly. But of course, onto business she went straight into.

“So, what is it exactly that you have for me, Mr. Hunter?”

On this day, March 1st, 1815, Napoleon Bonaparte returned to France from exile in Elba. Famously, he supposedly walked up, alone, to the army that was sent to arrest him, opened up his jacket, and ordered them to either shoot their emperor if they wished, or obey their emperor. Not a single fire was shot and Napoleon continued his march to Paris. He would rule as Emperor once again for 100 days before being exiled by the British to St. Helena for the remainder of his life. In a perfect turn of events, I’ve hit just over 700 followers on this day! I don’t usually do these bias lists, but since it was a special occasion I thought...why the hell not? It had started out as a deadpan stare, which soon turned into a look of amusement as an eyebrow lifted itself in wonder as to where such compliment came from and why she was being told of it. Though it would have been a lie if Evie said that she did not appreciate the kind words, for all that was happening around her, the Assassin was beginning to feel as she wasn’t exactly doing anything right.

Relaxing her features from its curious gaze, Evie glanced down for a moment with silence all but leaving her. And with her thoughts gathered, she merely said fourteen words with that clear tone of hers.

“If you’re trying to apologise for last night’s incident, you have already been forgiven.”
