Cardiff Bus launches Father's Day competition
CARDIFF Bus has launched a unique competition to help say thanks to fathers across Cardiff and the Vale.
Those wishing to publicly show appreciation of their dads are encouraged to enter the ‘Thank You, Dad’ competition for the chance to have their Dad’s name displayed on a dedicated bus for a week and a personal message to their Dad on the on-board media screens.
Cardiff Bus’ marketing assistant, Carys Roberts, said:
“It’s often hard to find a gift that really shows how much you appreciate your dad. (...) we wanted to give the people of Cardiff and the Vale the opportunity to publicly show appreciation of their dads this Father’s Day. (...).”
TO ENTER: send your name, contact details and why you want to publicly thank your dad in less than 50 words to [email protected] by Tuesday 10th June.

[EAT&DRINK in Cardiff] Secret Garden Cafe
(Source: Visit Cardiff)
Have you ever visited Bute Park?
Do you find The Secret Garden Cafe located in the centre of Bute Park in a courtyard behind a garden wall that features climbing roses and a beautiful semi-herbaceous border.
It is quite enjoyable to sit within the cosy courtyard or out in the park for those preferring more expansive views.
You'll often find the BBQ running in fine weather and the cafe offers a good range of affordable food and drinks to vistors all year round who need a rest stop while out enjoying the park. Also, look out for public opening times to the parks Education Centre next door.

NOFIT STATE CIRCUS – BIANCO, CARDIFF, 23 MAY – 7 JUNE 2014
If you’ve recently driven anywhere around the streets just south of John Lewis, underneath the railway bridge, then you’re likely to have seen a large silver spaceship hanging around John Street (where the temporary library was a few years ago). A ha! But this is no silver spaceship. Instead, it’s the temporary big top that’s housing NoFit State’s current show, Bianco. The show is open in Cardiff until 7 June 2014, and I highly recommend you go see it. Read more→
