You’re not asking for too much you’re just asking the wrong person
why did it take me so long to realize?
And on the seventh day, God said fuck work
A shout out to the people that wear their heart on their sleeve
I believe that we are a rare kind of breed. A kind of person that is so open and honest that we have the possibility of being destroyed in one single sentence. We are surrounded by people with hidden agenda’s that have the ability to play mind-games with so many twists and turns we easily lose track of their real intentions. As you grow older you begin to realise that very few people in this world say what they mean, having the courage to be open and honest about your feelings in any given situation can be incredibly intimidating to others; be it in friendships, relationships and work environments. It’s rare.
In time you learn that wearing your heart on your sleeve has it’s positives and negatives. We openly discuss our emotions, our personal thoughts in a ‘cards on the table’ and 'no bullshit' kind of way that it has the ability to leave some people stunned and others, well others abuse this trait. Why? because by being that person that is 100% honest with not only themselves but others, we are opening a door and letting others in, we are handing them the gun and giving them the bullets and praying they won’t shoot us in the back. Sadly, as the quotes goes “You win some, you lose some."
It’s taken me a long time to embrace this quality rather than try change it. I’ve realised that we may be presented with several painful encounters with others, we may go through a roller coaster of emotions that could of been so easily prevented if we just hadn’t of put our heart on the line. But for every time we wish we just played the mind games or kept our mouths shut, just remember that we learn, we learn who/and what is worth fighting for. Treasure this quality, be thankful for being a part of this rare breed and embrace it because it’s ok to put your heart on the line, it’s okay if it doesn’t go to plan because we are blessed with one life. I’d rather put my heart on the line than spend my time wondering ’What if?'
wow I wrote this?

Get your life together on the low. No one has to know what you’re doing and how.
