soo, I came up with a very interesting idea and it was diseases specific to personifications only because it immediately kills humans

I already have a couple in mind along with a structure to how the diseases are handled! But a I do plan for all of the diseases to be super bizarre and do weird things to the states

and yes, this blog will be centered around diseases so this is your warning

i also do plan to write fanfics about the diseases and I am always open to requests or prompts and even disease suggestions

also, some background around the AU name. Putrephobia is a word I happened to make up as I could not find the phobia for rotting while alive. If y’all could find the word then that would absolutely fantastic.

putre is taken from Latin and means ‘Rotten’. i wanted to keep the phobia name short. I am absolutely taking other words to substitute for this because I want the full “rotting alive” in the word.

Symptoms/signs:

A personification going through the Collapse process may begin to experience symptoms of drowsiness and blackout episodes within the first 1-2 hours of the Collapse Process.

Along with those symptoms, during their short blackout episodes they will still be awake but their own mind is not consciously making decisions nor will it respond to input.

After the 2 hour mark, these symptoms will get worse but the development of what is classified as Alien Hand Syndrome can be noticed. This ‘free thinking’ of limbs starts in just the fingers and toes but will progress further up the body with time.

After this free thinking of fingers or toes begins to spread up the limbs then the personification will likely be harmed involuntarily by their own limbs.

This will continue to spread up the body until the brain has been taken over. By this point the personification themselves will try any method in order to end their life.

Procedure:

Recommend to sedate the personification until they pass away. If they are not sedated they will involuntarily harm themselves.

First Discovered:

Unofficial discovery discovery date, needs more research.

This only develops if the personification is being taken over by a different personification.

Note that the appendages that have “free thinking” are not a result of AHS, it’s just the only comparable thing.

Lucensoma

Note: fake condition

Nicknames: Twin Condition (this title was swapped with Terasoma. Terasoma has been given a different nickname)

About the Condition:

Upon the appearance of a personification, two separate entities may appear. More often than not the two separate entities will look identical, hence the nickname.

Both personifications share the capabilities and talents and any talent one personification gains, the other also gains even if they were incapable of the task originally. This also works the same way with injuries.

If Twin B were to cut themselves then Twin A would gain the same scar but in a mirrored manor. If the cut were to be on Twin B’s left arm then the cut would appear on Twin A’s right arm.

The twins never have the same dominant hand, eye, or foot, it’s always mirrored. Twin A may have a dominant right hand and so Twin B will have a dominant left hand.

Organizations personifications often pop up having this condition.

Note that sometimes these twin personifications may turn up joint together at the arm, leg, or hip.

Procedure:

It’s not recommended to try and “execute” the twin personifications. There was an instance nearly 1,000 years ago with an unnamed personification that had this condition and the humans tried to execute the twin which resulted in the death of the other as well.

If the twins are joint together, a common procedure is to separate then with the use of surgery. Coming from the perspective of both CDC personifications, do not try to cut the skin joining the personifications with scissors (This is directed at Florida and his partner who recommended the idea).

First Discovered:

First officially documented one July 2nd 1946 but records trace back back to nearly 2,000 years ago but because off the lack of personification documentation, the personification is unknown

Sometimes this tends to happen to states but there’s only been one case documented. The Hawai’i personifications are presumed to have also have the same condition when they were a kingdom. This comes from the fact that there is actual evidence of the twinning personifications as a kingdom.

Nicknames: Corruption’s Condition

Symptoms/signs:

At the beginning of the Collapse Process, a personification suffering heavy corruption within their own government or their population will begin to develop pitch black blood.

Upon the first hour, these blackish veins will begin to widen, it does not matter if it is an artery or regular vein. The body will begin to rapidly lose weight whether that be muscle mass, body fat, or both. This process will continue for the next 2-3 hours.

After the 3 hour mark, this blackness in their veins will begin to spread throughout their body at a rapid pace. At the core of this black, their veins, rot will begin to set in. This rot spreads throughout any black areas at a rapid pace.

The process continues until the personification is covered in rot. They are still conscious as this condition eats away their skin, organs, muscle, and any fat left.

After the brain stops responding to input, they are deemed dead.

Procedure:

The only way to stop this is if what they represent is put back into place but even then, the harm done to their body cannot be undone. It is best to let nature take it’s course in order to minimize suffering

Upon the death of the personification, the rot will be washed away from their bones and they shall be put to rest properly.

First Discovered:

First officially documented January 5th 2024. Personification Name, Gov. Human Name, Nathaniel Shade. The condition was submitted upon his death

Although this was officially documented recently, records date back all the way to the Roman Empire personification.

Other:

Only personifications under the Collapse Process are capable of developing this

Developed if the personification collapses because of internal corruption within the government/handling party
