Kapoor: *Being a jerk and not sharing*
Semple: âSo I just got a degree in nanotechnology specifically for this and anyway everyone have some paintâ
Semple: a God amongst Men
Ok NOW things are getting interesting.
I am guessing Semple has created a new black PIGMENT that is close to the effect of super black. Vantablack is not pigment, and cannot be used in paint. This actually changes the game.
Kapoor may have the rights to the real blackest black, but Semple may have made a super black artists can actually use.
i canât believe a meme is going down in art history

#Why is art like this?#Because art is the way each generation of humanity distills itself to an essence for the future to behold#And our essence is a combination of exceptional and perhaps unbelievable technical skill#And just#Just absolute nuclear fires powered by spite#And I am so glad to be participating in this#Because this is I think#The first time Iâve ever actually understood art#So thank you to Anish Kapoor for being spiteful#And thank you to Stuart Semple for being brilliant in a fuck you kind of way#And thank you to everyone involved in this fiasco#Because I have never felt a more complete understanding of the necessity of art in my life#And Iâm so fucking glad

We need more white girls like thisâŚâŚ.
Omg these white girls savage, and Iâm here for them checking misogynoir and colorism to defend black women. This is how you do solidarity.
His feelings were hurt because he thought she was gonna eat that ignorant shit up, broke his little discriminatory self down piece by piece and in the most respectful way and had the nerve to say she had an attitude, now they see what we experience.

Tyrus Wong October 25, 1910 - December 30, 2016
I havenât been updating the blog a lot and only recently started working on it again. This post sat at the bottom of my drafts. Itâs been there for almost a year. I wanted to start a new feature on the blog that would celebrate an artist and their work and I wanted to feature Tyrus Wong first; one of my favorite artists.
Earlier today he passed away at 106 years old. Tyrus Wong was a Chinese immigrant who spent the majority of his career being marginalized; his work often going unrecognized because of his race.
It was for his work on Disneyâs Bambi, that Wong is perhaps most recognized for today, although, that took some time.
Inspired by the landscape paintings of the Song Dynasty, Wong created exquisite watercolor and pastel landscape paintings that would inspire the entire look of the film (see images above). Walt Disney loved his work so much that he was unofficially promoted as the films âinspirational sketch artist.â
Wong spent two years creating the illustrations that ultimately inspired the look and feel of the film Bambi. When animators and special effects artists had questions about color or lighting, they went to Wong. His work inspired everything from the tone of the film, to the special effects and the music.
Even though his work influenced the look and feel of the film, Wongâs named appeared at almost the bottom of Bambiâs credits as a background artist. Shortly after his work on Bambi ended, Wang, who had taken no part in them, was let go because of the animatorâs strikes at Disney. Wang held no resentment toward the studio, believing that they had treated him good.
In 1942 he joined Warner Bros. where he worked as a storyboard artist, designer, and background artist until his retirement in 1968.
Since his retirement heâs done work primarily as a painter and also worked as a muralist, ceramicist, lithographer, designer and later in life; a kite maker. In the 90â˛s he had a sort of resurgence as he became widely recognized for his work in fine art and painting.
Wong spent the majority of his career breaking racial barriers, not letting himself be constrained by the lines set down by others and in 2001 he finally got the recognition he deserved for his work on Bambi; and was honored as a Disney Legend.

I WANT THE WHOLE MOVIE!!!!
Whatâs wrong with Tim Burtonâs terrible explanation for why he excludes people of color from his movies? Oh, let us count the ways
âNowadays, people are talking about [on-screen diversity] more,â Burton told the site. âThings either call for things, or they donât.â So, a movie either calls for diversity in its casting or it doesnât? How does one decide when a film calls for casting nonwhite people?
my kink is when ppl actually care abt my feelings & what I have to say
too unrealistic, settle for bondage like the rest of us
