Registering for Disney Classes

Hello Friends!

So let me start off by saying, registering for Disney classes is the most stressful thing ever! This year registration opened on 11/14/16 at 12est or 11cst (which is what I am in). I was all ready in DORMS (the website to register) when 11 am hit. When 11 am hit, all hell broke loose. The site crashed within a minute. It constantly was saying it could not connect. Registering was a constant battle against the refresh/reload button to get further. Naturally, probably everyone who wanted to classes that had been accepted already was trying to register at this very moment. All in all, it took me an hour and 15 minutes. I missed whole class. I was trying for two seminars. I was so frustrated and stressed and nervous i thought i was going to throw up. In the end, it was all worth it, i scored both the seminars i wanted. Do know, the like EVERYONE wants to take Disney Heritage so that one is very competitive to get in. Don’t get discouraged though because like i said even though it took forever, i got both the seminars i wanted <3

Anyway, that is really all for now, soon i will be trying to get a legit blog together, so if anyone but me reads this, i will try to keep y’all posted if anything happens on that.

Program Dates

10/9/16 Hey Friends! Today I selected my arrival and departure dates for the Disney College Program. So I was going to talk a little about that process. So once you get accepted, there is a link with step by step instructions to do within a week of you letter being sent to you. If you don't complete ALL the steps before the week expires, unfortunately they assume you are not interested and revoke their offer from you. Once you accept the offer, you will be prompted to a page to pay the initial fees. This year the total came to $354.50. This fee is non refundable and covers, your first couple weeks of rent, building program fees, a processing fee, and the program fee itself. Once your fees are processed you are asked whether or not you will be living on Disney property or elsewhere. I'm not sure the next steps for if you live elsewhere because I will be living on property. I selected Disney property and then was prompted to pick my arrival and departure dates. So because my acceptance letter came a bit later I only had two choices 1/30-8/3 or 2/6-8/3. I left this one up to my parents to decide because ultimately I will need their help with moving and I think we will be driving. As sad as it is, my mom picked the day solely upon the Super Bowl and whether or not she would be able to watch it lol so I will be arriving January 30th! I'm so very excited, I wanted to move in before my birthday on the 24th to celebrate in Disney but unfortunately there were no more earlier days available. Accepted!

Hello all,

This is hopefully the first of many posts, so it will probably be poorly written. Bare with me.

I applied to the DCP the day applications dropped and continued the process from there. After getting news that I got a phone interview I was jumping for joy and dancing all around my house like a crazy person. I moved into college, and had my phone interview a week after that. I was nervous beyond belief and even accidentally hung up on my recruiter. After what I thought was a horrible interview the waiting process began. Week after week went by and i began to lose my mind. Being apart of a Facebook group is all well and good (you think) until you find out all these other people got accepted and applied after you. I started feeling really down about everything and worrying about next years school and leases however that all came to an end.

Today at about 11:30 am my phone went off with a push notification from Disney. It was my accepted letter! It took me a second, but then the tear cam and they couldn’t stop. In the middle of the Cafe with four strangers and only two of my friends, I started crying. I was a little embarrassed, but I couldn't help it, I was too excited. I immediately called my mom and even after I had stopped crying, when I told her, I began again. After everything was done, I think i probably cried 4+ times about it!

I got accepted for Spring Advantage 2017 in Merchandise and I am beyond ecstatic! During my interview we didn’t talk about that told at all but instead talked about other like housekeeping and bus greeter. I was really nervous that i would be placed in one of those because they were not my top pick by any means. But all worked out and I am so excited to go.

I don’t really know what else to write nor how to end this. Like i said before bare with me these first couple posts while i try to figure out how to properly blog lol anyway thanks for reading!
