When, you come home to get some clothes, you do not in your wildest dreams, think anyone has this much hate in their heart...
The Knucklehead project is gaining speed... LOL... Slowly!
This Shovelhead is ready to go back in the bike!
Time to get this Panhead back together...
D-Ring fix with Auveco thread inserts. Just one will need to be welded up and re-tapped. Also, need to weld up and re-tap the motor mount, then the Panhead will be ready to run!
Another Shovel nears completion...
Any vise works really, just happens my press is heavier than my wooden bench. That is the deal!
Someone asked what the deal was with the homemade flywheel jig.
Harley Shovelhead / Panhead / Knucklehead Flywheel Jig
... ... ... Closer... ... ...
New Frisco'ed Paughco tank for the Shovelhead.
Finally, the Rockers are rock'in! Last step is to check piston to valve clearance with some modeling clay.
Not yet... Three of the four strokes seem good... You are looking at rear intake roller... Needs more grinding... Good thing I pulled through by hand...
Shovelhead Cases --> Evolution Flywheels --> Evolution Pinion Shaft --> Evolution Cam --> Evolution Valve Train --> Ultima Evo Roller Rockers ... (pushrods covers --> Evo bottom / Shovel top) And a fuk load of grinding and honing! Would I do it again?!!? NO! Was it worth it? Only if it actually runs...
Carburetor rebuild time, S&S E "Shorty". Damn! These things have a lot of little parts! I hope I do not have any leftover parts when I am done!!??!!
The Shovelhead's engine is back in the bike!
