still working on my bing-ge theories but i posit: given half a chance, he'd be even more of a pathetic simp for shen qingqiu than bing-mei. yes he'd need some time to warm up to it, and i know bing-mei isn't exactly the poster boy for self-esteem, but the important thing about bing-ge is that he's worse.

this is a man who, on unexpectedly reuniting with an alive version of the evil music teacher who ruined his life, not only allowed him to pet him (while sqq's limbs were in ripping range, c'mon) while going ?? but pivoted so fast to seduction literally the second it occurred to him. bing-ge hated the guy! that's kind of key to his origin story! shizun no good very bad and gets murdered about it! but shizun is nice for 0.2 seconds and suddenly sex is very much on the table

bing-ge is also the man who, after his seduction attempt failed and he got beaten up by bing-mei, turned for a dramatic come with me moment with, again, the suddenly nicer version of his evil teacher. who i cannot stress enough has been nice to him for like one tuesday afternoon, after a lifetime of Not Nice. and bing-ge is ready to run away into the sunset together already. admittedly he's run away into a lot of sunsets with many many women, but rarely has he looked so upset about it. he is shooting his shot with no reflection or apparent hesitation, it is literally his first opportunity to Bond with shen qingqiu for real and he is grabbing it with both hands, like go huge king but also say what now

bing-ge is also the World's Straightest Man with more wives than he's had hot meals, yet he reads like One smutty rpf about him and his old teacher and is like wait, you can DO that? and all of a sudden he is totally on-board with getting hot and heavy. not just with a dude, but with, again, the evil arts teacher who super ruined his life and their grudge has spanned forever but bing-ge is happy to just Forget all of that in exchange for some kissy time??

give him like a month in the newer, sexier shen qingqiu's company and that man is even more sopping wet and clingy than bing-mei. he is the most extreme Luo Binghe of all Luo Binghes and i put it to you that this tendency goes in both directions. his Extreme Danger Do Not Approach meter is filling up at the exact same time as his Desperate Simp bar and yes, he is going to be so weird about it

do you guys think liu qingge allowed himself to fully look at shen qingqiu's face when he was carrying him back to CQM?

High up in the clouds, all alone, cheng luan beneath his feet, shen qingqiu in his arms and it's the only moment he'll have with him, one last time before he lays him to rest forever. The cold wind rushing around him sending chills down his spine, but it wasn't anything compared to the absence of warmth in his arms.

He'd taken off his outer robe and bundled up shen qingqiu as if it would warm him up and bring back some color to his face. The last ounce of dignity he could provide and it was met with silence instead of resistance like he was used to, once upon a time.

He hadn't seen Shen qingqiu in so long he almost forgot what he looked like and liu qingge found himself realising he'd forgotten what shen qingqiu's voice used to sound like. It knocked the air out of his lungs as he pulled shen qingqiu closer to him, as if the warmth of his own body might wake him up. That he'll smile at liu qingge and say he had a weird dream that felt like he slept for a long time and it would be over.

His gaze full of incredible tenderness as he took in shen qingqiu's sleeping face. Shen qingqiu didn't wake up. He placed the back of his hand on his forehead, devoid of any warmth. Softly traced his fingers down to his temples, cheekbones, cheeks all cold as ice. He traced the shape of his brow, his eyes, down his slender nose ridge, fingertips upon his cupid's bow and he stopped, he wouldn't dare touch shen qingqiu's lips, not like this. He looked down at his peaceful face, cupped shen qingqiu's face with his hand as he brought him close, resting his own forehead against his and then the tears came, quietly.

For the first time since Shen Qingqiu's passing, Liu Qingge finally understood what this moment meant for him, for everyone waiting on CQM. He was inconsolable as he cried with his tears spilling on shen qingqiu's cheeks but the quietness of his grief surprised him the most, it snuck up on him when he least expected it. The only person who could've given him warmth and comfort was held in his arms, lifeless and silent.

His voice cracking as he whispered, "Forgive me, forgive me for taking so long. Forgive me for all the things I couldn't do."

As CQM was nearing, he lifted his forehead away from the coldness of shen qingqiu, gently wiped away the wetness of his tears from shen qingqiu's face, and cleared his throat. He was still the War God of Bai Zhan Peak, he needs to act it too. He straightened his posture and looked at Shen Qingqiu's face one last time as he tucked a stray strand of hair behind his ear.

He stepped off Cheng Luan, adjusted his hold on Shen Qingqiu, fixing the robes on shen qingqiu. He raised his head high, took a deep breath and made his way across CQM.
