SPOTTED: Huckleberry Finn in Adams Morgan.

This right here is Huckleberry Finn, a Bluetick Coonhound we just had to stop and meet on account of his incredibly unique coat. Bluetick coons derive their name on account of the mixture of black, brown and white in their coat, which gives them an almost bluish appearance when seen from a distance.

Huck's a wily rascal, and it was tough to get him to sit still for a photo op, but his owner suggested that "he'll look at you if you make funny noises.". So, we settled on some pig oinks to grab the attention of this sturdy chap! Spotted by Tony.

SPOTTED: Luna the Siberian Husky in Bloomingdale.

While out for a stroll in Bloomingdale, we were blinded by Luna's snow white coat, not to mention her radiant smile. A fun fact about Luna is that when she turns around to start a new exploration, she always does so by turning left. A true "South paw" if we've ever met one!

SPOTTED: Sage in Dupont Circle

Sage is a mix of poodle, terrier, and other breeds.  Very friendly and super sweet, Sage is always ready to give kisses!

Allie the Boxer is a simple lass: When we asked for a fun fact, we were told that she "just loves to play", and what's so wrong with that? Carry on, Allie, carry on!

SPOTTED: Leopold Bloom at District Flea in Shaw

Leopold Bloom may be the protagonist of Joyce’s Ulysses, but this Leopold was the protagonist of District Flea! 

This Cavalier King Charles Spaniel had the sweetest expression on his face the whole time, and loved stopping for a quick scratch behind his head.

SPOTTED: Cruz on H Street

This 10-week old mutt mix hates his leash because it’s so constraining!  He just wants to run free and wild with those giant puppy paws of his. What a cutie, and we love his markings!

SPOTTED: Habibi in Bloomingdale

"Habibi" is the Arabic word for "my beloved", and we couldn't find a better phrase to sum up our feelings for this elegant poodle who resides in Bloomingdale. Who doesn't love a dog with a head of hair that resembles a winter hat?! Spotted by Tony

SPOTTED: Cisco in Penn Quarter

Cisco is the first dog we've spotted in the Penn Quarter neighborhood - when we first knelt down to pet him, we had to ask if he was named after Sisqo, the Thong Song guy.  

Turns out, it's Cisco like computers, not like thongs.  But this 8-month-old pup was just as fun.

SPOTTED: Hobbes in Eastern Market

This French bulldog was just too active for us to snap a non-blurry picture!  Hobbes, as in Calvin & Hobbes, has a superpower of being able to leap vertically four feet in the air.  What a champ!

SPOTTED: Charlie in Eastern Market

Meet Charlie - Charles if you're feeling fancy. This Jack Russell terrier was happy trotting along the stalls at Eastern Market. Hailing from South Africa, he lives with Finnegan. Together, they're one international dog family!

WANTS TO BE SPOTTED: Lady Edith

Move over, Lady Mary - it's time for Edith to shine. 

This American Foxhound is good with everyone - adults, kids, other dogs and even cats!  She's crate and house trained and rides well in the car. She's sweet and gentle and loves cuddling up and napping after playtime.  

Lady Edith is 2 years old and weighs 51 pounds.  You can adopt her through City Dogs Rescue by filling an adoption application out here.

SPOTTED: Elsa in Eastern Market

We were frozen by cuteness while petting Elsa!  For the first time in forever, when it comes to this 12-week-old Siberian husky puppy, we just can't let it go.  Spotted playing with Wolfie, the two of them made quite a pair!

SPOTTED: Finnegan in Eastern Market

Finnegan was perusing the artwork at Eastern Market when we spotted him. He's a well-traveled little pup, and rather worldly - in fact, he came from Greece!

SPOTTED: Caroline in Eastern Market

It only took a couple of scratches behind the head before Caroline rolled over for belly rubs. This black lab mix (maybe with Australian cattle dog?) loves running around Eastern Market but we suspect her true love is belly scratches.

SPOTTED: Wolfie at Eastern Market

This Siberian husky was playing around with a puppy husky (featured later this week!) when we saw him.  Majestic and sweet, he's a rescue dog saved by a human who loves huskies. His human said Wolfie's full name is Wolfgang Gretsky because he has the soul of an artist but the pounce of a hockey player. 

We hope he's having a good time in the snow today!

SPOTTED: Tucker on 16th Street and U Street

We met Tucker during his walk and were thrilled when he came right up to us! His human said he wasn't sure what breed he was - just a mix - but that he was definitely a character! If you see Tucker out and about, we definitely recommend petting this handsome guy.

SPOTTED: Mocha in Meridian Hill Park

Remember Latte from Monday?  This is her dog sister Mocha. (How cute are those names, by the way?)

Mocha is also a former racing greyhound. She's a little older than Latte, and just a tad shyer, but just as friendly and sweet.  Together, they make a perfect pair!
