halloween has passed but because andrew and neil are short boys™️, and andrew has a sugar addiction, they definitely wore masks and went trick or treating. right? RIGHT? and andrew definitely got way too angry at the people who didn’t answer the door to them / questioned their age? RIGHT?

no awtwb spoilers, just a goodbye.

i read carry on for the first time 2 days before my 17th birthday, i joined the fandom very shortly after. made friends in this community at a time when my life wasn’t the best. the carry on fandom, the book, simon and baz were my everything.

i “left” before wayward son, read the book in a time where my life was more put together - i had a job, was back in education, my real life relationships were fixed. i loved this community, i loved simon and baz the same amount - but i no longer needed the crutch.

i logged back into this account today - awtwb release day - my bio still said i was 18, when in reality i’m months away from my 21st birthday, that’s how long i’ve been gone.

i just finished awtwb. it was everything, despite the changes in my reading taste - this book has my entire heart, this world has my entire heart, these characters will mean so much to me forever.

i don’t think i need this blog anymore, these characters have been with me for 4+ years. they held me together at my worst, and continued to comfort me at my best. i thank this fandom so much, i thank rainbow rowell so much. this part of my life will never be forgotten.

i’m sure i’ll still lurk here sometimes, but i think my time is up.
