When a bunch of people showed up to protest covid 19 safety measures, Trump and his administration called them “modern day Rosa Parks” and said “sometimes civil disobedience is required to move things forward.”

When a bunch of people show up to protest racial injustice and police brutality, Trump and his administration call them “thugs” and deploy the military.

THESE people are the real modern day Rosa Parks. Showing up and saying they won’t sit down for this mistreatment. Black lives matter.

Monetary reparations will not make a difference if it is going to be spent in the same systemically racist economy that caused the inequalities.

Money can’t solve our problems without policy to back it up.

I’d like to remind (or inform because I don’t think people have actually heard this) everyone that Elizabeth Warren was a republican. Until she did research! Her research showed that the policies and ideas supported by many republicans are built on misinformation. She has also said she is “a capitalist to her bones.”

So if you feel like Bernie or Democratic policies are bad for our economy or freedom (which are valid opinions but not built on fact), just know that these policies were built by people looking at data and even pure capitalists think it’s right for our country and economy.

As long as private health insurance exists, healthcare remains a for profit industry. As a for profit industry, the focus is not on the care of the patient.
