D U N K I R K . #DiZzeLsVERDICT : Nolan does what Nolan does best and though captivating, it sometimes (arguably) doesn’t best serve a ‘story’; especially one so well encapsulated in history as Dunkirk. Here, the Nolan mish-mash of timeline and scenes feels more like a distraction as you spend more time trying to figure out what is what and easily lose touch of the more horrifying and heroic moments. It could’ve been a great linear movie especially as there is more than enough drama in the original version of events. WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES . #DiZzeLsVERDICT : I was so thrilled by the trailer and promo for this but now I’m so glad I didn’t get a chance to catch it in the cinema! Impressive in the first few minutes more thanks to the cinematography and CGI but then it just drags on with such a slow pace that anyone would do well not to doze off! Very poor character build-ups that just made the whole plot seem forced and inconceivable.
