Hi hi Briar!! You asked for more silly asks and I love your posts so may I please ask for headcanons on how the Tetro characters (blue or pink) might sit/stand? This can also extend to general body language headcanons if you want. This might be kind of a weird/niche thing to ask about but I think it's just fun to think about these kinds of things.
Hi hi akari!! I love these kinds of head canons!! Also love ur posts too!!! Warning, I’m gonna have more to say about the pink students than the bluedents for obvious reasons, but I do still have some things to say about them.
Isono - Isono has gamer posture when she sits. She leans forward naturally when she sits, but being a streamer just made it worse. She does frequently sit crisscross in her gaming chair tho, in fact it’s her preferred way to sit. When she stands, she has a slight slouch, not enough to be noticeable, but enough to make her look relaxed at all times. In terms of body language, she makes herself smaller when she’s sad or anxious, often fidgeting with her hands at her chest or hugging herself.
Harada - Von has stated that Harada is off balance and that he uses his heavy backpack as a kinda mobility aid almost to keep him balanced. I think he also veers from side to side when he walks though! Because of this when he walks with Yukino he always walks on the side closest to the street because he worries he’d end up slowly pushing her more and more toward it. When he sits he tends to rest his elbows on the table infront of him, and when he doesn’t have a table he feels awkward so he rests them in his lap. In terms of body language when he’s thinking he drums his fingers on the nearest surface to help him concentrate.
Chiba - Chiba has a very peppy walk! She almost skips rather than walk, and she walks really fast. You’d expect her to lag behind because of how short she is, but actually she’s the person who leads the group when she walks with other people. When she stands she has very straight posture, but in the way where it’s almost too straight, like she pushes it so far her torso points backward and she pushes her tummy out. She also tends to hold her hands behind her back like an anime character drawn by a twelve year old. She also sits in chairs crisscross because it makes her insecure her feet don’t touch the floor when she sits. In terms of body language, when she’s angry she holds her arms out to the sides and clenches her fists to try to make herself look bigger.
Kamimura - Kamimura slouches forward aggressively. Bro has a scoliosis and he’s actually like 3 inches taller than he looks because of how bad he slouches. When he sits he sits cross legged but in the way where his knee makes a horizontal triangle rather than the back of his knee touching the other knee. When he gets angry he gets in peoples faces and stands on his tiptoes to meet their eyes.
Hayashi - Hayashi has straight posture, but when she’s comfortable around someone she slouches. When she sits she leans the chair off it’s back feet, but a few weeks into the game she started sitting like Kamimura does cause she picked it up from him. Hayashi does not emote with her face very much so she conveys her emotion with her body and voice a lot more, and it’s very hard to get her to smile.
Wada - Wada crouches in in himself at all times. He wants to be as small as possible and take up as little space as he can. When he sits he sits on his knees, or just one knee with the other one bent upward, which makes him look reaaaaallly small. When he gets excited about something he stops closing in on himself and he gets really animated, it’s really cute.
Sasaki - Straight posture. She sits aggressively normally. It’s almost comical how perfectly she tries to do basic tasks like standing and sitting, but it makes her feel like she has more control. When she’s mad her hands get really animated. I’ve said this before but I think she has a slight limp from her knee injury.
Ojima - Slouch. This man does not have good posture. He hunches over the table when he sits down as a force of habit from drawing. He actually has back pain because of it. He also bounces his leg when he’s not SUPER MEGA ULTRA locked in (which exclusively happens when he’s drawing).
Okazaki - Okazaki *normally* has straight posture, until she talks to someone shorter than her. When she’s talking to someone smaller than her she gets uncomfortably close and looms over them intimidatingly even when she isn’t being mean. It’s not a power thing it’s just how she is. She also talks with her hands. She sits like Kazutoshi does but with the opposite leg, she also rests her elbow on the bent knee and rests her face on her palm.
Hama - Hama has straight posture. He walks in a way that I can’t explain other than if he wasn’t a six eight muscular delinquent he would look like a dork. When he sits he crosses his arms and leans the chair back like Hayashi does. When he sits in an arm chair he sits sideways with one arm on the side rest and his legs bent over the other rest like the bisexual idiot he is. He does the anime thing where he puts his hand behind his head and blushes when he’s embarrassed. A lot of the way he moves is like an anime character because he’s an autistic dork that learned social ques from anime.
Tsuno - Tsuno does not walk, Tsuno struts. She usually has at least one hand on her hip, if not both. When she walks with a bag, one hands on her hip and the other is fiddling with the bags strap. She has good posture, her parents actually used to nag her about it when she was in her delinquent era, so she makes sure it’s good to keep them happy. She’s very bouncy when she’s happy.
Hiroaki - Slouch. But when he’s flustered he straightens up real quick. When he sits he sits cross legged with his knees touching. He’s a hand talker and when he’s being sad for the bit he deflates like a balloon.
Tamba - Good posture. Sits with her knees together and her hands on her knees. Tamba just sits, walks, stands, and emotes like a normal person. I don’t have any interesting notes for her body language.
Hasegawa - Aggressively straight posture until he gets anxious or sad and then he slouches forward. I don’t know how to describe the way he emotes other than that he is like a dog. I just picture his little hair wings going up and down like a dogs ears when he’s sad or happy. When he sits he sits very politely with his hands folded in his lap. But when a subject catches his interest he starts bouncing his leg really fast, which sometimes aggravates Kamimura when it starts shaking the table.
Watari - Spread eagle lesbian in all situations that don’t require a skirt. She does that thing where she slowly slides down the chair more and more until she’s laying on the floor. When she’s excited she gets really bouncy and animates and when she’s being silly she puts on a very serious face so people can’t tell if she’s fucking with them.
Yanagi - Very formal posture and sitting. Like Hasegawa he is also an absolute dog of a man. When he’s happy you can practically see the tail waging. He rests his head on Mai’a knees like a dog. He acts like he’s some prince who will take care of all your needs, and he will, but he will also be a pathetic little dog of a man when you are alone with him unless you are Hayashi Mai in which case you are not spared even in public.
Ouno - Ouno is cat. She moves in horrid skrunkly little ways like a cat. When she’s emoting strongly she balls her fists, whether she’s happy or angry or sad. She is also a crisscross applesauce chair sitter, and she lays her crowbar across her lap.
Ninomiya - Slouch. Sits cross legged with knees touching. Talks with his hands when he’s being silly. He also does the Okazaki thing where he looms uncomfortably close to people shorter than him.
Kumada - Straight posture actually, you’d expect her to slouch, but she wants to make herself look bigger so she stands really straight. She sits weird, I dunno how yet, but she has the bisexual swagger so she sits weird. When she’s angry she gets in peoples faces and when she’s comfortable around you she acts like a cat and knocks stuff off of ledges to get your attention.
Ikeda - This man will not take his hands out of his pockets unless absolutely required. He slouches and he walks with a slightly opened gait, not like a cowboy but not that dissimilar. He does the anime hands behind head elbows up thing a lot.
Denden - Sweet little thing bounces everywhere. She walks with her hands out and sways them back and forth. This isn’t really a body language thing but I think she’s really touchy with people she likes which frustrates Hirose. She touches her face a lot.
Tsukigata - He walks all fucked up somehow and it makes him a klutz and he falls down all the time. I think he also has an open gait like ikeda from horse riding so much. When he’s excited he is really animated and acts like an anime character. When he’s sad he deflates and starts crying over the slightest inconvenience. I think he stands like Chiba does.
Yokoi - Straight posture except in bathophobia where she noticeably slouches and caves in on herself. She bounces around when she walks and she is very supremely animated when she talks. She hand flaps when she’s excited frfr
Yaitabashi - He walks very slowly but he has straight posture. He does tend to veer to the left or right a little when he’s walking, not as much as Harada does but enough to be noticeable. He doesn’t emote with his body very much, really just his face.
Maekawa - Tall stance, confident posture, fuckass sitting position. She absolutely spread eagles and has her forearms dangle off her knees and leans forward aggressively. When she’s mad she moves a lot, like she has to pace the anger out of her and she talks with her hands aggressively.
Hirose -Straight posture, sits like a normal person, but he holds his hands behind his back like an old man. I don’t have anything else interesting to say about him.
Ogura - straight posture standing but she leans forward when sitting from painting and being on her puter. She also struts, which is very funny because she is three apples tall and has no reason to walk around like she owns the place, she could be punted like a football.
Shishikura - PUT YOUR FUCKINNG ARM DOWN. Not touching this one until it’s confirmed or denied he has DID
Isoda - Slouch, walks with their hands in their pockets, caves kinda in on themselves like Wada does. Sits cross legged with knee bent and she leans back in her chair, not enough to take the front legs off the ground, but enough to look like she’s really nonchalant and relaxed.
Tei - He slouches. He sits normally but he rests his elbows on his knees and leans forward like he’s in a doctors office and was just told he’s pregnant. He walks very lethargically. When he’s mad he talks with his hands a lot. He flips people off instead of talking a lot.
Nishiguchi - Straight posture. She sits with her let’s crossed with knees touching and her arms crossed. She looks very closed off. When she’s mad at people she hits them very lightly on the back or on the shoulder, but she does not to this to yaitabashi when he pisses her off because he is two apples tall and she is very gentle with him actually. She regards him like a delicate little flower.
Akiba - Slouch. He’s taller than Tei but he slouches so much they look the same height. When he wants to look cool he stands to his full height though. When he walks he veers to the left specifically. When he walks next to Tei, he bumps into him constantly which makes Tei mad. He is the only boy to spread eagle, and unlike Maekawa he leans back into his chair and rests his elbows on the back rest.
