In case you missed it: check out my first video for @DJcity on the DJcity YouTube channel. A lot of young beginner DJs ask me for advice about equipment. They want me to tell them what to buy and they ask me "what's the best" (for them). I always try to explain to them that there is no best. Yes, certain equipment is considered to be the 'top of the line' stuff, but if you look at turntables and controllers it would be very hard to crown a king. But more inportantly, what's best for me might not be the best for you because it all depends on your needs and (especially for beginners) your budget. Don't spend too much money when you're starting!! So don't fall for the peer pressure from people telling you that you need that expensive equipment to be a real DJ because it's NOT TRUE! As you know, I love to share the knowledge and it's always great to work with people who share that philosophy.
