I read this morning that there isn't enough electricity in the world to run all of the data centers everyone wants to build (and probably not enough water for cooling either). AI makes mistakes all the time... so much so that even a Google response carries a disclaimer. The data centers cost more than the employees did, and for responsible use humans still need to vet all results. So why are we wasting the money and trashing the environment to do it?
