Greetings everyone! We're getting close to wrapping up our Interest Check period, and we will be using this post thread to answer some questions we've been asked. If you submitted a question or are interested in more information regarding Re:Celebrate, please stay tuned!
For our first set of questions:
Q: Do you accept social medias besides Tumblr/X (Twitter)/BlueSky?
A: Yes! You're welcome to provide social media handles besides these. We can accept Pixiv, AO3, Artfol, Artstation, and many others besides just these listed.
Q: If I don't want to post my work on a public portfolio/social media, can I still join the project?
A: Mods do require that you show us some previous work of yours during the signup process, but it can be a private file, so sharing it publicly is not necessary! Mods recommend a shareable private Google Drive folder.
Second batch of questions:
Q: Will you open a Strawpage for questions?
A: We will not be opening a Strawpage, but you're welcome to DM us on X, Bluesky, Tumblr, or email us with any questions you may have!
Q: Are you going to cap ships present in the zine?
A: We anticipate that we'll see a wide array of ships pitched for this zine, so we don't expect a ship cap to be necessary!
Third batch of questions:
Q: How can I partake in this project?
A: Please read the Contributor Signups and Contributor Guidelines sections in our Information Document! Please note that all applicants should review this document before applying. Signups will open on July 17th.
Q: Please consider going physical!
A: For a number of reasons, this project will be digital only. This also means that it will be free, so everyone can enjoy the works at no cost!
Fourth batch of questions:
Q: Can I apply as a [collage artist, musician, cosplayer, etc]?
A: Yes! We will be open for Alternative Media applications on July 17th.
Q: It would be cool if the zine was focused around AUs.
A: Re:Celebrate is a general celebration of the whole game for the 15th anniversary. Hopefully it may inspire some more themed zines for the future!
