For @marrzbugz
this is my stupid tsundere bird im using in the newest dnd campaign im in !!
Rogue, Harpy, 31yo, 4' tall
Inspirations are Grian (design and personality), A sun conure (design), my own dice set (design), and just basic anime tsundere troupes (personality)
hes a rich kid who acts out for attention and that drives people away- but does genuinely like to learn, burying himself in books a lot of times. Kleptomaniac and hoarder, he likes shiny stuff and to keep his items on him at all times since he feels physical items are all he has, especially because people can walk away while items cant.
Swole slitherer of substantial size, sinuous siblings smoking sigarettes, smart student of the secrets of scales, stealthy stalker set to strike.
They all have one thing in common.
They save lots of money on car insurance.
I made something. I'd thought I'd share.
A non-corrosive Slime girl in the shape of a mermaid. Her prosthetic arm allows her to grasp and manipulate objects. Inside her is a living aquarium, with several species of fishes she collected over the year. The skull floating in her hip provides shelter to the wildlife.
Unlike most slime species, this one is naturally buoyant. She literally can swim in water or mid-air. The pink core is her brain, heart, liver, slime regeneration and body regulator. While resilient an organ, it is vital to her existence.
The slime that makes her body is highly translucent, high in oxygen, and similar to embryonic fluid in nature. Viscosity makes escape from the body difficult, but anything engulfed would still be able to breath in.

MAGIMATE
One of our player characters is a robot who is built to enforce laws. Labeling him here as robocop.
(Us learning that an important tree is corrupted)
Robocop: So what I'm hearing is we burn the tree.
Nature spirit: that would be a terrible and heinous decision.
Elf Bard: wait no let me explain. It would be...a waste of a valuable wartime resource.
Me: And it's probably illegal here.
Robocop: it's corrupted so it's beyond saving. Besides. Trees don't have any legal protection.
Elf PC and Elf NPC begin talking over each other trying to explain that's not how that works here.
Me OOC: have you not been paying attention to the internet the past few months? Tree law is very much a thing!
Nature spirit pulls out a chalkboard to explain why trees are important.
Robocop: I will attempt to add this difference between jurisdictions to my legal codex.
Monsters Reimagined: Bandits
As a game of heroic fantasy that centers so primarily on combat, D&DÂ is more often than not a game about righteous violence, which is why I spend so much time thinking about the targets of that violence. Every piece of media made by humans is a thing created from conscious or unconscious design, itâs saying something whether or not its creators intended it to do so.Â
Tolkien made his characters peaceloving and pastoral, and coded his embodiment of evil as powerhungry, warlike, and industrial. When d&d directly cribbed from Tolkienâs work it purposely changed those enemies to be primitive tribespeople who were resentful of the riches the âcivilizedâ races possessed. Was this intentional? None can say, but as a text d&d says something decidedly different than Tolkien.Â
Thatâs why today I want to talk about bandits, the historical concept of being an âoutlawâ, and how media uses crime to âun-personâ certain classes of people in order to give heroes a target to beat up.Â
Tldr: despite presenting bandits as a generic threat, most d&d scenarios never go into detail about what causes bandits to exist, merely presuming the existence of outlaws up to no good that the heroes should feel no qualms about slaughtering. If your story is going to stand up to the scrutiny of your players however, you need to be aware of WHY these individuals have been driven to banditry, rather than defaulting to âthey broke the law so they deserve whatâs coming to them.â

P1: writes âthe pointâ on a piece of paper, crumples up said piece of paper, and throws it over P2âs head. "Congratulations you completely missed the point" P2:âI catch it with mage hand.ââI have the point right here in my hand!â P1:âCongratulations, you missed the point of the metaphor too!â P2:âNot my fault you missed with the paper!â P1:âAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!â Me the DM: laughing my butt off in the corner
DM: Once the countdown reaches zero, you all hear a whorlbling noise pass through the room. You're all fine, but Horsey [the paladin's Find Steed] turns to dust.
Paladin: Oh shit, it cast Disintegrate on my horse! Should I have made a save? How much damage was it?
DM: This is not Disintegrate, there is no save, it's just 600 damage.
Party: ...
DM: It is now eerily quiet in the dungeon.
i've made this joke before but you don't need forbidden cosmic horror knowledge to drive someone insane in the PF universe.
just ask someone to try and map out the planes in a way that makes sense.
Rage of Elements presents a beautiful illustration of how every Elemental Plane encircles the Material Plane/Universe like a giant onion to form the Inner Sphere... but every single Elemental Plane borders each other one, and every E-Plane rubs against the Material in enough areas to form occasional breaches.
The Material Plane and its surroundings (like the First World) are also an onion, something of an inner-Inner Sphere, but that's for another time.
The Outer Sphere is almost entirely the Maelstrom and all the afterlife planes, which float on top of the Maelstrom, but the whole thing is also overlaid by the Astral Plane. Axis is at the center of creation but also the bottom, and the Boneyard is located in the center of creation but also its top, and Axis is connected to the Boneyard by a great spire that doesn't intersect any other plane.
The whole of creation is pulling a 6th-dimensional contortionist act.
And like many posts I've posted today, here's an interesting side note: According to the planar map given in Rage of Elements, the Abyss has tentacles and secret tunnels that reach every single plane in existence... except for Heaven. Not even Elysium and Nirvana are beyond its reach, but Heaven--as the Lawful Good in pure opposition to its Chaotic Evil--repels it utterly.
Warlock: âI point at you and say, âDoppelgangerâ! Wait, I have Mask of Many Faces. You point at you and say, âDoppelgangerâ!â
â
Warlock: âI cast lightning lure at the clockwork scarab. Thatâs 20 damage.â
GM: âWell, it had 4 hit points, so by the time it gets to you, itâs a charred, twisted chunk of former metal.â
Ranger: âYou welded it!â
Monk: âWeld done!â
