reminder kraken dice released 95 exclusive dice sets before fufilling their first kickstarter and the owners of it are right wingers
since theyre trying again LMAO
Just as a psa
Seriously, don’t buy from Kraken.
Their stuff is cheap, they don’t really uphold their obligations for their productions; they’ve cheated numerous people out of their dice pledges and produced foggy, low quality dice — the dice making game has gotten so much better over the years and I have a list ( as a dice maker myself ) that you can support more independent and amazing dice makers!
DISPEL ( more bigger and mainstream but they have nice high quality dice with their own store opening late May 2022 )
GAMETEE ( they have all sorts of lovely stuff for table top in general, but a lot of beautiful themed, sharp edge and gemstone dice too! )
EVERYTHING DICE ( they’re about to have a Kickstarter for dice boxes and they have very beautiful sharp edge dice! )
JUICE BOX
KHOPPER DICE
SPELLCASTER DICE
ARTYDICE
THE DICE DJINN
DREAMYDICE
SLEIGHT OF HANDCRAFT ( they have dice commissions )
YANIIR ( less frequent updates, and more Patreon exclusive sales, but very beautiful high quality dice, jewelry, and tabletop accessories )
ALKONOST DICE
HELLA STRANGE DICE
DRUIDIC DICE
HADRIANS STALLAU
XOLOTL DICE
ASTRALNAUT DICE ( my dice work! I take requests in small batches and plan to make sets for sale soon! )
Please support more indie and small business tabletop stores!✨ You can find so much love, quality and care put into these dice makers beyond Kraken’s cheap sets and abhorrent customer care and support.
adding onto the dice list, some dice makers that i’ve personally purchased from and love the work of.
DARK ELF DICE (made my current fav dice which have little koi resin figures inside, theyre adorable)
ARCANA VAULT
and for something more in kraken’s price range, i suggest
DIE HARD DICE
Dark elf dice has been my favorite for YEARS, they have excellent customer service, things frequently go on sale, they have a cute little merch shop, they have a lot of filters to search by, and their dice selection is HUGE!! Definitely check them out

DM is making us fight an awful awful creature so naturally I had to draw her.
He took an already bad monster and somehow made it so so much worse 😭
Dungeon: Temple of Brazen Choir
You can hear it, down in the deep, a song that’s been echoing for a thousand years, from a thousand cold and fleshless throats
Hooks:
The party is contracted by a well respected court artificer to escort him high into the mountains to explore a set of ancient ruins. Usual enough as sellsword gigs go, until they near the delve site and discover stone plinths that have been erected by the reigning church, delcaring any further tresspass (and the existance of the site itself) to be an act of herecy. Thier employer scoffs at such superstiction, he’s here to study the science of a forgotten age not meddle in the affairs spirit. Surely the party will see his reason rather than turning around after hiking all that way, forgoing the majority of their pay, scorching thier reputation, and making an enemy of an influential figure among the nobility.
Fleeing a deadly encounter, or perhaps through dumb luck as the ground crumbled out beneith them, the party end up swept along an underground river and spat out into a large, partially water filled system of caves. Distant and dissonant music calls to them from deeper on, as does the fleeting glimpses of sky.
After delving a dungeon or raiding the horde of some rich villain, the party discovers an adorable little robot hidden away in stasis, which comes alive at their prodding. Remembering very little besides its designation R 0 2-L R, “Roller” is happy to provide whatever asisstance it can to the party given that its skills mainly lay in counting, organization, and calculation. At some point Roller will begin experiencing glitches, blanking out and attempting to “return to origin” in order to receive maintenance before coming back to consciousness. With their little metal friend in increasingly poor health, the party will have to undertake a journey to the far wilderness to discover just what they can do to restore their sidekick to health.
Setup: In the distant past, a shard of Mechanus fell to earth and buried itself in the foothills of a mountain, entombed for millennia before the slow forces of erosion managed to carve it free again. Sitting at the bottom of what would eventually be a large cavern complex, the long stilled mechanisms of brass and celestial cockwork began the slow process of repair, carving out tunnel networks and mines as rebuilt themselves into an alien cathedral.
No god was meant to be worshipped at this altar, as the creed-driven automatons that had survived the crash or were created afterwords sought only to impose order on their surroundings, and to recreate the long destroyed extraplanear structure they were once charged with maintaining. Then mortals entered the picture and spoiled things with their idolatry, stumbling upon what must have appeared to be a ready-made marvel of a forgotten era, a place of worship merely waiting for worshippers as if their coming had been fortold by divine edict. This wasn’t entirely their fault as the remnants of Mechanus “imposed order” upon all things mechanical or otherwise through supernatural means, and instilled those who dwelt too long within their halls with unnatural devotion, obedience, and rigidity.
Successive cults have made the Temple of Brazen Choir their home, whether descending down from the surface or venturing up form the underdark, living among the machines and filling the empty niches and naves of the temple with their own iconography. These cults inevitably meet with some disaster, be it bloody internal schism or attack by exterior faction, leaving the temple’s mechanical stewards to sweep away their bodies and leave the temple clean for a new group to discover.

💎 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺! Radiant Quiver Wondrous item, rarity varies (requires attunement) ___
A “radiant quiver" produces special ammunition for your ranged weapon attacks. The ammunition is made of pure light, and appears in your hand when you reach into it without picking a different piece of ammunition. If the quiver is kept in direct sunlight for at least 1 hour, it magically produces up to 20 pieces of the special ammunition at the end of the hour.
The quiver can hold up to 20 pieces of this ammunition at a time, which remain until used and don’t count toward the total amount you can normally store in a quiver. A piece of this ammunition is lost if another creature attempts to use it or if it’s removed from the quiver and not fired before the start of your next turn. On a hit, the ammunition deals radiant damage, instead of its normal damage type, and it deals extra damage based on the quiver’s rarity, as shown in the table below. The ammunition is then lost. This bonus damage is doubled if the target is a fiend or undead.
Once fired, the ammunition sheds bright light in a 10-foot radius and dim light for an additional 10 feet while flying through the air. Very rare versions of the quiver produce ammunition made of sunlight. A creature hit by ammunition made of sunlight in this way is considered to be in sunlight until the end of your next turn. … The last property, “Light Cannon”, is in the comment below! ___

Fletcher’s Ring Ring, rare (requires attunement)
While you are wearing this ring, when you make a ranged attack with a bow or crossbow you magically summon the ammunition as part of the attack. Arrows or bolts summoned by this ring disappear after they hit or miss their target. Attacks with these arrows are considered magical for overcoming resistance and immunity to non-magical attacks and damage.
This ring has 4 charges. As part of an attack, you can expend one charge to summon a special piece of ammunition from the following options:
Excruciating. This arrow inflicts massive pain. On a hit, the target creature’s movement speed is halved until the end of your next turn.
Penetrating. This arrow travels through the target in a straight line for an additional 20 feet. The next creature in that trajectory is also hit by the attack if the attack surpasses its AC with three-quarters cover (+5).
Tethering. This arrow creates a tether from you to the target. The tether is the exact length of the distance fired between you and the target. It can be used as a rope to climb or to leash yourself to a target creature. The tether can hold up to 500 pounds and is severed if it takes 5 slashing damage (AC 12) or torn if a creature uses its action to make a successful DC 18 Strength check. You can use your action to pull a tethered creature a number of feet equal to your Strength modifier or drag it as you move at half speed if you succeed on a contested Strength (Athletics) check. The arrow and tether last up to 1 minute or until you dismiss it with a bonus action, before disappearing.
Whistling. This arrow whistles loudly as it flies through the air. It can be heard from up to 200 feet away. Each creature other than yourself, within 20 feet of the arrow’s flight path is deafened until the end of your next turn.
The ring regains all expended charges after a long rest.
Bentha drew back the string on her bow and a translucent, silver arrow materialized. The other rangers had mocked her for “forgetting” her quiver, but now she was the only one with any arrows left to fire. They never stood a chance. - 🖌🎨 Like our work? 💎 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺! Hat of Osnomnosis Wondrous item, common (requires attunement by a wizard) ___
This colorful, frumpy hat contains the animated and sentient spirit of a wizard’s old pet. While unworn and immobile, it is indistinguishable from a normal hat. When the hat is worn and spoken to or otherwise interacted with, it springs to life and pulls its seams apart to form a stitch-ridden mouth and toothless smile.
You can use the hat as an arcane focus for your wizard spells while you’re wearing it. In addition, you can feed one piece of paper to the hat using an action, destroying the paper. The hat happily accepts any paper it’s fed and wiggles about as the page is chewed and swallowed. If you’re wearing the hat, you immediately know any information that was contained on the piece of paper as if you had read it. If the paper or its contents were magical, it’s immediately spat back out by the hat. If the paper contained a spell, such as a spell scroll or page from another wizard’s spellbook, you also take 1d6 psychic damage for each level of the spell that was transcribed on the paper when it’s spat out.
𝙎𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚. The "hat of osnomnosis" is a sentient chaotic good item with an Intelligence of 4, a Wisdom of 8, and a Charisma of 6. It has hearing and darkvision out to a range of 30 feet. It can’t speak or read, but can communicate with you telepathically while you’re wearing it. When the hat communicates with you in this way, it can only transmit simple emotions and images. While you are attuned to it, the hat understands every language you know.
𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮. The hat loves nothing more than being worn and eating bits of paper and is easily befriended by creatures who pet it. The hat’s button eyes can’t move, but it uses its cloth folds to change its expression at will. ___

Zhaotong City (China): the narrowest city in the world
y'know, we as a society pay too much attention to a player of mine last night throwing a fireball at a death knight to see if it would attack (spoiler- it did) and not enough attention to the same player seeing wolves that had been influenced by a necromantic blight, the same blight that has canonically made water unsafe for human consumption, and going "huh i wonder if i could cook the evil out of that for breakfast"
spoiler alert- it didn't work, they started their day by taking necrotic damage because why would that work
it's a necromantic taint, which stands for 'tain't fuckin' e coli
THIS IS WHAT I MEAN WHEN I SAY TREES ARE COOL
not every post can be a banger. some do piercing damage
yeah yeah yeah some do poison some do lightning whatever. everyone who interacts with this post needs to take 2d6 necrotic btw

coral polyps: most metal sea organism?
FALSE. most metal sea organism is the Scaly-Foot Gastropod, a deep sea thermal vent snail that incorporates actual IRON into its shell and body armor!
godzilla could not crack these things open with a tire iron, their structural strength is so far off the charts that biologists had to invent a couple of new hardness levels just for them.
they're also sometimes called Sea Pangolins! because land pangolins are already widely known for being made out of solid metal, I guess.
They're also magnetic
