CRITICAL ROLE: CAMPAIGN 4 Episode 17: The Place of Wings
Oh. Oh, the Murray cold open. Okay. Lots of things. But first?
This adds a lot of context to why she was so fucking gutted when her Nat 1 insight check made her think that Tallbarrel had sold out and betrayed not only the Penteveral but her.
Just. This ambitious, idealistic, opportunistic young woman, hearing this guy at a bar putting everything, his whole new fresh young school, on the line to avoid charging tuition and pricing most students out of being able to attend, this young woman who went out into the world on a charitable programme that was immediately bought out/co-opted by rich people to build their fucking vanity projects, this young woman who taught herself magic, the long way, the hard way, by her own genius, and even from other wizards has to have the first assumption be that she’s secretly a sorceress, and there was this guy, these people, these ‘most broke fancy folks I know’, talking so earnestly about keeping a school, a school of magic, open for everyone. In this one moment she found her place, found her people.
And then, unable to tell he’s lying through his teeth to stop Primus killing her on the spot, she thinks this man, the man who set her on this path, sold out, as drastically as possible, to the worst family possible. She thinks he sold her. Sold the school. Sold their dream.
God. I really, really hope she gets a chance to clear that up, to learn better. Come on, girl! He was trying to keep you alive and stop you from punching the murderous sociopath in the face. Give a little grace. Take some time and think it out.
I really, really hope she gets a chance to realise she wasn’t actually betrayed there.
(Also, sidenote? Tallbarrel having an adorable moth familiar, named Eustace, purely so they could have the visual gag of a moth flying out of an empty pocket to show how fucking poor wizards are, that cartoon gag of a literally moth-eaten purse, is … I love it. I love it so much. Also Eustace is just adorable, and I adore the idea of a moth familiar just in general).
CELL DON’T KNOW WHAT’S COMING
these two.

Campaign 4 Episode 11: Make Merry
I love how Blanc went from tapping a single note on a piano to hurry the interviews along while remaining a silent and mysterious figure in the background to straight up blasting the phantom of the opera on a church organ to interrupt a murder confession
The way Father Judd renamed the church from "Our Lady of Perpetual Fortitude" to "Our Lady of Perpetual Grace"... I am insane about this film. Grace Wicks you WILL always be famous
The Wizard from Waterdeep
man I sure love that character I wish the writers did too
Yeah..
love watching c2 and whenever the nein don't know something, there's always a pattern that follows. first, they turn to the nerds (caleb and beau) and ask if they know it. then the nerds look at each other and wrack their heads to see if they do. if on the odd the chance they don't, the nerds make a trip to the nearest library and plan to barricade themselves in until they fill that gap in their knowledge. then they turn to the clerics (jester and cad) who then ask their gods. one talks to the wind and the other talks to a weasel. the guy talking to the wind is more successful at times. then they spend five more hours planning until fjord just decides to slam the red button. cinema.

The Mighty Nein | season 1 + the highs counter gif set to this one
Ok, ok. We talked about Essek's beautiful war criminal face, about Molly and Jester having a moment, and about Tracy being a wonderful menace.
But can we please acknowledge the brilliance of the animators to straight up give Fjord a boob-windowed version of Jacques Ze Whipper's outfit???
OH MY GOD IT IS??? IT IS!! I'm normal about this (NO I'M FUCKING NOT)
happy season 1 finale
Why does it end like that ? T.T
Jester has been eyeing Fjord's booty since they first met.
