Reviving my account only to post this tier list lol. Honestly Iâve been really sad & disappointed with the books pixelberry has been putting out recently so I wanted to take a nostalgia trip. Link to the tier list.
being a lesbian who plays choices is starting the first chapter of wolf bride and the first scene immediately going âYOU ARE DEEPLY AND HORNILY ATTRACTED TO THIS MAN AND YOU CANâT RESIST IT.â and itâs like. well, no. but alright. usually we make it past the first scene without doing that but I guess the bar is low @playchoices
this is very poorly made but pb should know by now that iâm not smart enough to know when fancy looking names are spelled differently than they sound
Ok, a couple of thoughts/first impressions on Laws of Attraction:
1. OOOOOO SHEâS SO PRETTY AND AND I LOVE HER!!!đđ Her freckles are killing međ
2. When she first got introduced as âthe rivalâ I thought it was either going to be a Attorney vs Prosecutor type of thing (Ace Attorney style lol) or her and mc would work for two competing law firms. What I did not want was another petty âweâre working towards the same promotion therefore we are now enemiesâ type of rivalry.
We already did this dance twice with Jackie and Aurora (open heart) and now with Gabe supervising this whole thing itâs really leaning towards an Open Heart 2.0 plot. I still have hight hopes for this book and I hope that PB learned from previous mistakes and will still let us have quality time with Aislinn, but ugh Iâm so tired of this trope....
Please donât pretend that Auroraâs scenes never happened @playchoices Please donât waste Auroraâs potential.
In chapter 19 MC explicitly says they want to see what the romance with Aurora would feel like. Why did you tease the romantic chemistry between the characters if you are never going to develop this relationship? Why did you make it seem like the characters have feelings for each other if you donât care about our choices?Â
@playchoices imagine writing THIS scene which we PAID DIAMONDS FOR only to completely erase this storyline from the next book?! Why tease at something multiple times in book 2 if you never intended to follow through? Itâs queerbaiting and itâs disgusting. Itâs you once again showing how little you care about your wlw audience.
So much for diversity. So much for choice. So much for promising to do better.
Hey if you have time can you write where the gangs playing truth or dare and Mc chose dare where she has to kiss the hottest person. That person being Becca . They are dating in secret but Becca thinks its time to be open and she kisses Mc will all her might and everyone is shocked .
itâs Kaitlyn who suggests they play truth or dare. but itâs Zack who actually says it.
âkiss the hottest person here,â he says, fixing Alex with one of those iâm not taking no for an answer looks.
Kaitlyn cracks a joke about how sheâs the obvious choice, and Zig straightens his back a bit as a sly grin tugs his lips up. that irritates Becca.
Alex laughs, nervous and uncomfortable with this type of attention. her gaze flicks between each of their friends sprawled out around the living room, and then stops on Becca for a moment too long.
Becca looks away first. clears her throat and checks to make sure the others donât suspect anything.
âhow am i supposed to kiss myself?â Alex says, trying to laugh it away. âyou want me to get a mirror?â
that gets a few good laughs, but Zack pushes on.
âno, no. you canât pick yourself.â
âleave the poor girl alone,â Abbie says as she leans into Tylerâs side.
Chris says something similiar. about how she can ask for a new dare if she wants. and Becca silently thanks him for that. but the others donât seem to want to let up. they all lean forward in their seats a bit, puckering up their lips or offering their cheeks.
she can feel Alexâs gaze land on her again, and when Becca looks up, she finds her staring at her, almost begging for help. Becca glances away for a moment and finds Abbie looking at her, smiling like sheâs just now seeing something so damn obvious. but no one else seems to noticeâtoo caught up in their playful cajoling.
Becca looks back at Alex, and her decision is made. she offers her a smile and they both get out of their seats and meet each other halfway. Beccaâs not too sure if everyone goes silent or if she just tunes them out. but as their lips meet in a soft and slow kiss, something quiet and calm settles around them.
Alexâs arms fall around Beccaâs waist, and Beccaâs arms wind around Alexâs neck to pull her in just a little bit closer. as their tongues move together so easily and effortlessly, Becca doesnât once care that theyâre in the living room and that their friends can see them.
when their lips separate, they lean their forheads together and try to stay in their little bubble for a moment longer.
âthank you,â Alex says, a dreamy smile on her face.
âanytime,â Becca says, leaning forward to press one last quick kiss to Alexâs lips.
when they look back to their friends, they find varying degrees of surprised expressions across their faces. Abbie doesnât look surprised though. she just smiles like a proud mother from her place on the couch.
âi think itâs my turn to ask someone now, right?â Alex says as her and Becca claim the end of the couch.
Zack mumbles an âuh, yeah,â as he watches Alexâs arm settle around Beccaâs shoulders.
as the game carries on around them, Becca sinks into Alexâs side and wonders how on Earth she got this lucky.
