i've kinda been stepping away from social media in general, since i don't really think constantly keeping up with Everything Bad That's Happening is all that healthy for my brain

i'm leaving this blog up in case i ever want to come back, but don't really expect much for the forseeable future

many times i have read the word lynchian but i feel like some people are using it in the same vein as kafkaesque (as in, lastname based word that tumblr has decided sounds funny) to the point that i barely feel like i know what anyones talking about. whats something that you actually consider lynchian

i'm just curious bc i'm watching How to Train Your Dragon and i always forget how happy and calm it makes me feel. i mean, i did name my cat after Toothless the dragon. but i also love Lion King, that's my Disney comfort movie. and my Ghibli comfort movie is Spirited Away. watching any of these when i'm in a foul mood or my anxiety is high always helps 🥰 but i watch them just for fun too, not only when i'm in a mood. what about you?

so I started a new anxiety medication this past week and so far it’s been going very well except that I have extremely vivid dreams and apparently sleep texting. I seem to have sent this at 3am and i have no memory of it

I wish I could find the original post but many years ago I was crashing at a high school friends house and he had me sleeping on some couch cushions that unfolded into a “bed,” except the cushions kept shifting and separating as you slept on them. So I had this elaborate dream that everyone on the planet had at some point been forced to sleep at my friends house, and the situation with the cushions separating was a single common experience that every living human had. And world peace was achieved through a movement called “push them together,” accompanied by a motion like pressing your open hands together as if to pray. Rock stars were doing it on stage, politicians were signing historic peace accords and doing the “push them together” motion, it saved the whole world
