Barty and Regulus’ first kiss

The HP fandom has so little art on this pairing that I had to do my bit. x

Barty never knew how to express his feelings properly. Especially feelings of affection and love. He was never taught this in the parental home, because he was never a beloved son. Unlike Regulus Black.

They had been best friends since their early years at Hogwarts. At some point, their friendship became so strong that much more complex feelings began to arise in their hearts. They showed them differently, of course.

Regulus didn’t reject them, but didn’t openly show them either. Though his gaze lingered longer, and he sought more touches.

Barty didn’t want to understand and accept what he was feeling, so he pretended, even for himself, that there was nothing.

Feelings and tension accumulated not finding the proper outlet until they reached a critical point. For the first time, Barty Crouch could no longer hide them in himself.

He didn’t know what was happening to him and how to express what he was feeling. So, he did it in his own aggressive and toxic way…

…with the threats of the Cruciatus and an unhealthy desire to have complete control over Regulus through Imperius.
