This whole scene, a combination of stop-motion animation and what I’m pretty sure is a life-size animatronic figure (which quite honestly would’ve completely unnerved me if I were that actress who had to come face-to-face with it), was really impressive. If it had been done with CGI the scene would’ve elicited nothing more than an eyeroll at how bad it looked, given its vintage (1993). Yet here I was, 23 years later, stopping and backing up multiple times just to marvel at the work that must’ve gone into making this the most disturbing creature I’ve seen in years. Well done, Kamen Rider ZO.
