Happy International Wolf Day, everyone!
Like the stories of the ancient gods, the Wolves in Indomitable are able to take Human form and walk amongst us, mostly undetected. They do have a few traits, though, that set them apart, if you pay close enough attention š
First off, they tend to have more earthen-coloured eyes: shades of amber, gold, brown, grey, and green being common. (Blue eyes are rare, except in certain sub-Species, like the Meridian Wolves). At night, their eyes will also glow in the light of a bonfire, headlamp, or vehicle lights, even in their Human form. Their ears tend to be very slightly pointed at the tips, and their canine teeth are a little larger than ours. They avoid certain Human foods (such as caffeine and chocolate), and even while living amongst Humans, they eat a heavy meat- and fish-based diet. They also tend to wear clothes made from natural materials (such as wool, cotton, leather, fur, etc.), as synthetic materials have been known to cause issues while shifting forms.
This is a quick sketch of one of the Scriver boys (from the Blackstone Pack). I know itās been forever since I posted on here--life got crazy and weird on me this year :PĀ

Merry Christmas, and Happy St. Stephen's Day/Boxing Day/LĆ” an DreoilĆn!
Did you know this day is traditionally a day for giving to the poor, esp in your own community? Now wouldn't it be a great idea to bring that back instead!

Happy Winter Solstice, everyone!
Ā While there are a few kick-ass female characters in Indomitable (including Kiaraās little sister, Lily, who we finally meet in Book 2), try as I might, I could never write Kiara as your stereotypical assertive, warrior-type. I just couldnāt. Iāve learned to let the characters tell me who they are, instead of the other way around, and Kiara, for all her toughness, just isnāt that type of girl. Sheās quiet, shy, intelligent, and stubborn, but she isnāt especially assertive. She is vulnerable, she has issues and trauma. She has fears and misbeliefs that hold her back. It took me a while to accept this. And now I love her for it. Iām still learning to accept (and love) many of those same traits in myself.
Hereās to all the amazing people I know, and to the ones I havenāt met yet and may never meet, who keep on keeping on, no matter what life throws at them.
**COVER ART AND BLURB REVEAL**
(SPOILER WARNING: I abbreviated and edited it slightly to give away as little of Book 1 as I could to folks who havenāt read it yet š However, Book 2 relies heavily on the events in Book 1, so some spoilers are inevitable, just to warn you š Iāll post the longer, official book description early in the New Year.)
Ā What if your only chance at survival depended on your worst enemy?
He doesnāt know what they want. All Logan knows is that heās been left to rot in prison while his enemies argue his fate⦠until Phillip Kent manages to buy Logan some time. In return, Logan must make the perilous journey to the remote Blackstone River to talk with the Pack who abandoned him and the brother who betrayed him. Logan doesnāt know exactly what Phil hopes to accomplish with this mission. He isnāt even sure if Phil is for him or against him. And in order to complete his questāand to surviveāLogan is going to need to rely on the one person he hates more than anyone elseā¦

UPCOMING COVER ART/BLURB REVEAL
Wow, December just flew by! I've been holed up editing. And editing some more lol. Winter Solstice is tomorrow! Seeing as December 21st is the birthday of my main female protagonist (Kiara Matson), and I have been promising the cover and blurb reveal for Book 2 in my series for a long time now...how about the Solstice?
